We stayed here for two nights late last year. I have to agree with many of the other reviews - it was average and OK. The location is the highlight.
The decor throughout the hotel and in the rooms is still in a bit of a time-warp - maybe a combo of 70s, 80s and 90s style (I'm no expert though).
The service was good and the breakfast is what you would expect for a Holiday Inn. The corridors are a bit of a rabbit warren and the lift closest to our room must be a contender for the 'smallest lift in the world' - not recommmended if you're claustrophobic. Not important but definitely a talking point.
Despite a short stay, we really enjoyed Dusseldorf. The restaurant scene was buzzing and the mighty Rhine River was great to finally see after hearing so much about it (in Australia).
