Stayed one night at the Holiday Inn Düsseldorf City in february 2007.
Superb location, a few steps from the famous "Kö" with all the shops.. and just a few minutes away from the old town with all the nightlife....
Hotel is very clean.. Bathroom is rather smallish.
Beware of pickpockets.. Hotel has posted warnings everywhere.

The Hotel itself is quite strange.. it has been extended twice.. Its like 3 different houses squeezed together, you have like 3 different types of rooms and floors.
1. the very old hotel, small rooms, typical holiday inn design with that awful green colour everywhere..
2. a newer part of the hotel with a little bigger rooms but same sad holiday inn design..
3. and finally a brand new part with new bigger and brighter rooms with a new design, but like most holiday inns, nothing really special.. :-(

Breakfast ist good.. so many things to choose from.. but again.. nothing really special that makes you go woouw..

If you are going to stay here.. make sure you get a room in the new part of the hotel.. !

Stayed here the evening England managed another penalty failure at the world cup.

Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

Location good and room fine. The bar was busy but only 1 bar person was on so that it was a bit chaotic. Car Park round the back is integral to the hotel

Didnt eat at the hotel. Plenty of good alternatives not too far away with a buzzy feel.

This could be a great hotel - excellent friendly service, good location, wonderful breakfast and nice rooms (some amenities like proper shampoo, etc are missing though)...

BUT

The sound proofness of the rooms is extremely poor - it was so noisy that it was impossible to get any sleep throughout the night. Unfortunately this completely spoiled what could've been otherwise a very nice stay.

Very good hotel on the end of the Konigsallee in the middle of the city centre. Good clean rooms with wide beds with boxsprings. Breakfast was very good with f.e. salmon and Champagne, oops it was Sekt but it bubbles nice. Very much choice of food. City transportation stops in front of the hotel. Rooms are noise free.
