Stayed at the hotel over the Christmas period. The hotel was very quiet as a result but still received a good level of service. The hotel is situated right on the banks of the kieler Fjord and as a result is away from the business of the city centre. The room was spacious and had fantastic views up the Fjord right up to and beyond Laboe. The room was clean and well presented with two bathrooms. There is a lot of history to this hotel and this is reflected in the maritime theme and decoration. Fantastic buffet style breakfasts with relaxing views over kieler fjord as you sat in the restaurant. The hotel is situated within easy walking distance of Kiel town centre. Just up the road along the waterfront you have the Cafe Loof which is a great place to go for a drink, to eat or to check your e-mails on their free terminal. I would go back and stay without hesitation.
