We found this based on Tripadvisor comments and it was everything everyone said. Very friendly, beds amazingly comfortable, spotlessly clean, good breakfast, cleverly designed en-suite pods and rooms feeling spacious because of design. Only about 10 minute walk from HautBahnHof (main station) and a further few minutes into old town of Lubeck - which was amazing. I wish we'd asked for a non-smoking room, as one side of each corridor consisted of these, and we hadn't realised on booking. But our room was clean and didn't actually smell of smoke, but I suppose it could have. Would definately stay here again when returning to Lubeck (which we will if we get another cheap Ryanair flight from England). It was a perfect break - including 2 nights in Hamburg (having taken the train from Lubeck, 45 mins).

My husband and I stayed in this Ibis over Easter weekend 2006. We are Accor Guest Card holders so stay with Accor frequently. This is by far one of the best Ibis (and in my opinion is more like a Mercure level hotel) we have stayed in. There is plenty of parking either for free outdoors about 50 meters from the hotel or below is paid parking for 5 Euro. The rooms are extremely clean, the bathrooms super modern (almost like a pre-form shower, toilet unit) and the breakfast better than most. There is a Chinese Restaurant across the street if you don't want to go too far for dinner and it is easy to find.

6 friends just back from a great 3night break in Lubeck. We had a problem with flight from Scotland which was delayed for 1 day. Telephoned reception from airport and had no problem cancelling the 1st night of our holiday. We were not charged for cancelling 3 rooms! Rooms were ideal except for tea/coffee in room. Taxi from airport was 15 euros. Lubeck is a lovely place. We usually had our breakfast at the Saturn shopping Centre just 10 minutes away...eating out is very reasonable. One of our party had a walking frame but we never bothered to take a bus into town. We had intended to visit Hamburg Christmas Market but Lubeck was such a lovely place that we decided to stay there..shopped until we dropped. And the gluwhein was delicious on a cold Baltic Day.

The Ibis is conveninetly located to the Old Town. Maximum twenty minutes stroll, past some local restaurants.
The No 6 bus from the airport passes about 300 metres away.
Buffet breakfast for 9 Euros is good. Staff were all very attentive.
I shall return!
