Stayed at the Jensen for two nights in May 2005 in a double room with extra bed for 98 Euros per night. For 6 Euro/night the hotel provides a card which enables access to a commercial carpark some 15 minutes walk from the hotel. There are identified spots for the hotel on the first floor of the carpark. Note that the card from the hotel gives 24 hour access to the carpark, even though its commercial hours of operation only go up to 10 pm.
The hotel is historic, but everything is modern and functional. The room on the top floor was a bit tight for 3 people, but adequate. After all, it was a double room with extra bed, not a triple room or an apartment. It was on the top floor, and the hotel lift only goes to the penultimate floor, so there was the need to lift our suitcases up one floor. The location is fantastic, being just down the hill from the old centre - a lovely place to wander around for a day. Be sure to call into the Niederegger shop which has been selling Marzipan there since 1806.
A computer terminal in the hotel lobby providing free internet access to guests was a nice touch, and appreciated by these travelers six weeks into their European trip. Another nice touch was having the Herald Tribune available for purusal at breakfast. Breakfast itself was very nice.
