I had a very modern, clean, and well designed room, superb breakfast buffet, and the staff were very helpful in making reservations and getting train schedules, etc. When I checked in, a tour group of Germans was getting their keys - I knew they would be picky about cleanliness and breakfasts, so I had picked a good hotel. This hotel is definitely excellent value and relies on its word of mouth reputation. My room faced back away from the street - it is right next to the bus and train station and 8 minutes by foot into the Lubeck inner city.
