My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night after we rang up a lot of other hotels in Lubeck and found that most were fully booked.
In the end I was glad that we ended up at the Stadt because we were so, so close to public transport links in and out of town. Location wise I have absolutely no complaints. A walk of less than ten to fifteen minutes took us to restaurants, shops and the marzipan shop which my boyfriend adored.
We had a raised ground floor room that looked on directly at the bus station forecourt but with the curtain partially drawn we still felt that it was private enough.
The hotel was not luxurious nor pretending to be luxurious but I would urge anyone looking for practical convenience and good value for money to consider staying here.
Finally I would like to mention that the man who ran the reception desk was friendly and good-humoured and efficient.
Lubeck - very enjoyable for a two-day break, clutching a reliable guidebook. We flew in and out with a budget airline.
