Firstly this restaurant opens ONLY for the summer season, we were there in August when Lendinuso ,a small and charming seaside resort, is full of Italians on holiday. Il Botteghino isn't smart or upmarket but the atmosphere, service and food are wonderful! You sit outside in a half covered courtyard area. Particular favourites of ours from the menu were the mussels, both on their own and with pasta, the amazing house special starter (share it between two - its huge!) the lemon sorbets and the pizzas. The menu has an English translation but take your phrasebook as most of the staff don't speak English. The exception is the wonderful Stefano who took care of us when we were there and recommended both food and wines to try - he was spot on every time! The place was packed every night we were there and no wonder, on top of everything the prices are unbelievably reasonable. Don't go too early - like alot of southern Italian places it doesn't really open till 8pm!
