We had a fantastic 5 day tour of Andalucia. The accommodation was excellent and the trip stunning. The Alhambra in Granada and the Mesquita in Cordoba are unbelievable. Ronda was beautiful and Seville very sophisticated. We went with tourandalucia.co.uk who offered us really good prices and an excellent time. We have only been to the coast before, but now we are keen to come back and explore more inland as the culture and history is far richer. The restaurants are good and not expensive, drinks cheap and the people very friendly. We didn't need to hire a car as we were picked up at Malaga Airport and driven to each of the Cities. Very leisurely and relaxing.

Spain was wonderful!! Perfect weather, 80 Sunny Clear skies. We were there for the first week in autumn for our honeymoon. The sea was freezing but we really came to experience Spain, not swimming so we weren't worried about that. We visted Mijas, Rhonda, Sevilla, Fuengirola, Torremolinos, Benelmadena, Tarifa, Tangiers (Morocco), Marbella, Malaga and stayed in Mijas-Costa. My best advice is to pack for layering, wear comfortable flat shoes, learn some Spanish (get alittle phrase book - it will take you far), bring cash (most places off the beaten path don't take credit), eat the fried fish, drink the wine, converse with the locals. Be adventurous, the Spanish people were nothing less than lovely and the little town in the hills and mountains are far more charming the little British tourist enclaves. The only downside to our whole trip was the filth and less than warm welcome in Tangiers and the horrid flies in Malaga. The rest was a treasure my husband and I will forever remember as a glorious 11 days! I am still trying to adjust back to fast life of the U.S. and I already miss Spain and their more gentle way of life. If you want any info on a specific place etc... please let me know I'd be happy to give whatever insight I have.

Hi I would just like to recommend at visit to the region around Alcaucin, where we stayed in a wonderful house with private pool. We defintely picked the right time of the year to travel, beginning of June, as we missed out on the extreme heatwave that the whole of Europe is battling with. We booked the house and car throuch andaluciadirecto and were met up when arrived at Malaga airport. Keeping off the beaten track is the best way to enjoy the best of what Spain has to offer. Especially I would like to reccommend a visit to Comares, a small village about 30 kilometres from Alcauin that is perched high the top of mountain that is reached by tiny, windy serpertine roads. Best Wishes Pat
