Ojen Spain (pronounced “O-hen”)
Found this on TripAdvisor and stayed at the La Posada del Angel hotel. Finding Ojen was pretty easy, finding the hotel a bit more difficult. You pretty much go through Ojen and just as you feel you’re leaving town there is a sharp right turn that goes down hill. Look for a small sigh that lists that hotel name. Keep following very small hotel signs and when you get to the last one there is a VERY small street with a sign that basically says do not enter except residents. If you have a small car you can make it up to the hotel (about 1 block). If not you’re going to have to park in the city parking lot about 3 blocks down the street and walk uphill with all of your luggage (NOT an easy task). Ojen is very steep! If you’re old or handicapped this is not a place for you! We found the hotel quite charming with a good breakfast in the morning. They even have wi-fi in the lobby though I could not get my corporate VPN to work through their wi-fi so I ended up connecting directly using the wire off the back of their hotel computer.

We stayed at La Posada del Angel June 14-17, 2007. What a wonderful and beautiful place. We reserved a terrace room and it was lovely. The inn is very quiet and you feel right at home. The rooms are large and extra clean. We also had an airconditioner.
I recommend the breakfast in the courtyard. It was so nice to just walk downstairs in the morning to a huge gourmet breakfast. For 7.00 euros you are served fresh orange juice, eggs, 2 or 3 kinds of ham/sausage, bread, tomatoes and sliced cheese.
The staff is very helpful. We were given great advise on where to dine( El Fogon de Flore was GREAT) and sights to see. Right around the corner is a plaza. There are 4 or 5 restaurants, ice cream parlor and a a few shops.
The Inn is a little hard to find at first. Make sure to give yourself extra time and be prepared to walk up a steep incline or drive on very narrow streets. If you park in the large public parking lot at the bottom of the village, you can walk to the inn in 2 or 3 minutes. It is worth the effort!
Also, Marbella is just 5 or 10 minutes away by car.

This is a lovely hotel in a small but interesting town, with a lively main square. We arrived late and tired with a five year old, but were made welcome and comfortable, the posada has a relaxed and tasteful elegance.

We stayed in one of the terrace rooms, which was roomy,interesting and quiet. Breakfast in the courtyard was nice, but you could equally go to the main square to one of the inexpensive cafes.

We would definately stay here again.

We first stayed at La posada in Sept 2004 for a week. We returned Sept 2005 for 10 days and are returning June 2006 for a week. We love this place. It is a charming, quaint, friendly, very clean hotel. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. A very adequate continental breakfast is served in a delightful patio area. The rooms are individually designed and are kept immaculate. There are some nice restaurants in the village. There is a swimming pool on the hill which is approx 2euros a day attached to which there is another very, very good restaurant. The view from the pool is spectacular.It is about a 15 minute walk up hill but its worth the effort when you get to the top. On all the occasions we have been to the pool it has never been busy. The bus runs from the main road regularly to Marbella which is one euro each way and is always on time. For us this is the perfect place to relax and chill out and to enjoy the true spanish way of life and hospitality.
