We chose this hotel for its location, and one of our friends had stayed ther but was not so forthcoming about how good the hotel was, just the great location. The previous reviewer has said most things, the laptop in room, the shower facilities, the breakfast and the great tapas bars literally on its doorstep. However I like firm beds and the minimalist style of the room. Our room was 'liga de campeones' on the first floor overlooking the main square. The reception staff were friendly and efficient. The other bonus was the free water and coffee which my inquisitive wife found by reception. For the quality the price was extremely competitive and it did not have that businessman's look that so many more expensive hotels offer. Maravilloso

Room tip: Ask for what you desire when you book. Don't be shy

Searched long and hard for a Malaga hotel and we found this one. We were not sure what we would find, but it turned out to be a very good decision for us. The hotel is very well located just off the Plaza de la Constitucion and extremely close to all the main attractions in the Centro Historico (Old Town). Location is excellent and not hard to find. I also used Google Earth to see a picture of the outside before arriving. The taxi the airport dropped us off in the Plaza and then it was a one block walk to the hotel. We had to walk because the whole area is a pedestrian area. Malaga has some great tapas and restaurant places, hundreds of them, and at least half of them a short walk from the hotel. Typically European 2 and 3 star hotels have smallish rooms compared to their US counterparts, but this hotel had a fairly large space and a huge bathroom with a terrific, glass shower. The room comes equipped with a laptop PC that you can easily use to connect to anything. WiFi is also free and our reception in the room was excellent. The beds were fairly low to the floor, though. The closet was ample and there were numerous bathroom amenities, soaps, lotion, gels, etc. The interior of the hotel was a beautiful courtyard. The breakfast buffet was really worth the 9 Euros/person. It really was better than anything you could find on the street, and ample and filling. Only minor negatives--the bed was very firm and the pillows fairly flat, but we asked for an additional pillow and that did the trick. The staff was friendly without being fawning. They helped make reservations for trips and recommendations for restaurants. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone. You can stay in a bigger hotel, but the charm and location of this hotel can't be beat.

Room tip: The rooms on the street can be a bit noisy, since Malaguenos eat late, but it was not a problem for us, as we all travel with portable machines that put out a little white noise.

Five of us stayed at the Petite Palace for 2 nights in February and loved it. The location in the heart of Old Town cannot be beat. The hotel and our rooms were spotless and comfortable. The wi-fi worked consistently well and the staff were attentive abd friendly. Breakfast was lovely, many choices of eggs, meat, cheese, baked goods and fruit. Our grandson became ill on the day we were to check out and staff told us to keep our room as long as we needed, we stayed 3 hrs. past check out at no extra charge. Would definitely recommend this hotel and we are returning this fall.

Ten of us stayed at this hotel recently for a long weekend and we all thought it was great .The location was perfect right in the middle of town lots of restaurants and bars right on our doorstep. The hotel rooms were basic clean and comfortable and the breakfast had plenty of selection. The cathedral was right behind us and the port and beach was a short walk away. This is a great hotel for a short break.Would use it again.

The location is perfect for exploring beautiful Malaga. The room was very hot. The breakfast was okay. The hotel staff were all great. The wireless would come and go and you had to sign in over and over. Rooms were clean. Not a fan if the frosted glass bathroom door, but the location of this hotel makes up for anything else that wasn't perfect.
