Hotel Guadalmina was the perfect base for a weeks relaxation and golf. We had a super room on the third floor with a view of the golf course, the beach and the sea.

Staff were friendly and efficient. The spa facilities are excellent and there is also a lovely outdoor pool but too chilly to try in February! Breakfasts were good and although the restaurant menu is quite expensive, they also do some lighter bites which were very nicely presented.

The hotel is in a nice quiet area consisting of top end residential properties. You do need a car to get out and about. We played both Guadalmina North and South courses - both were good but the South is the best. We also played Santa Clara which we would recommend.

All in all Guadalmina is a sophisticated, peaceful hotel in a great location.

We really loved this hotel. It was in a quiet area, not like a lot of hotels next to busy roads. Direct acces to the beach, Puerto Banus was only a few minutes away. We contacted the hotel directly and got a good offer, before deciding, we got to see the room first. Clean rooms, big bathroom, safe available. We had a seaviewroom with balcony. Beds were comfortable and big. Especially the pool scene was beautiful, see photos. Towels for the pool were provided. Breakfast was abbundant. Food a la carte was of a good quality, but pricy.
We had free daily acces to the spa, which was great, towels were also provided. Staff was very friendly and did everything they could to make the stay a succes. Overall we had a super stay here!

at wedding in hotel in sept 07 had fab time . great location on beach very large sea water swimming pool towels supplied. very clean rooms good size .lovely location for wedding .wedding meal was actually a lot better than the previous nights meal in hotels restaurant .drinks could be quite expensive .could do with a better shop. there is nothing near hotel except beach and golf course so you would need a car . bar staff poor not very friendly. for those of you who love bannanas there was none for breakfast which upset some people. enjoy.

Guadalmina Golf, Hotel was fabulous, relaxing, restaurant expensive( unless you paid for some half board meals as we had, we dined in and out on alternate evenings) . Pool gorgeous, beach bar was popular with Spanish, we didnt eat in there prefering the restaurant or Terrace restaurant , which was more to our taste.
Formal dining was superb and restaurant staff attentive . Rooms were lovely , we were in wing just off reception , overlooking the golf putting green area, this was very quiet and secluded, having own private terraces . Beds and rooms were superb, Queen sized bed with lounge area, satelite tv / safe and fridge built in to lounge area , terrace off , a relaxing stay , in glorious surroundings.
Myself, a single 40 something , plus two teenage daughters , plus one of their boyfriends, could have been a nightmare , but was infact a totally relaxing and a great holiday. Puerto Banus restaurants were superb, around 125 /145 euros for 4 inc drinks and we did eat at a pleasant chinese in San Pedro one evening for 50 euros between us!
Promenading and people watching in Puerto Banus is a must , Marbella a little further afield was for serious nightlife. My teenagers prefered to pose by the pool, and promenade in the evening before eating late around 10 /11pm .
We had a fabulous holiday and would recommend the Hotel Guadalmina for a relaxing, stylish holiday. Mostly Spanish staying at the hotel , some Americans and some English . No Germans in the hotel and no queueing!... Beach is virtually private and pool area is gorgeous.
The Hotel is in a private residential area , with gorgeous walled Villas but , does require taxi rides to go anywhere. 10 days was just right and one of our best hols .
