We spent 3 nights at the NH Marbella, not our first choice but since we booked very late it was still available. So we went having no great expectations only to be pleasantly surprised.

Room was a good size and clean although thin walls meant some noise from our noisy neighbours. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom very well equipped as usual using the shower tends to soak the floor however hard you try to be careful.

Breakfast choice was very good especially continental options - cooked choices were fairly limited.

Pool are was clean although some maintenance required doing. Good do with a few more sunbeds.Prices at pool bar were high a small bottle of water was 3.2 euros.

Parking was available but it cost 12 euros a day but loads of spaces available in nearby streets

Location was OK it took about 10 minutes to walk to the beach , and then a further 15 minutes walking along the seafront to reach the main area of bars and restuarants. Listen out for the frogs as you walk over a small stream feeding into the sea.

Stayed here for a long weekend. Despite some rather bad reviews here on TA we thought it was great! The staff were very friendly and helpful the location good - between Marbella and 'the Port' . Breakfast buffet superb. I would say definitely a 4* star hotel by European standards.

I stayed at the NH Marbella for about five nights in August, 2005. This hotel is best suited to people with cars, as to reach the city center it is about a thirty-minute walk along a busy road and there is very infrequent bus service. The hotel had the feeling of being in transition when we visited, in that the staff were not knowledgeable about the area and they also were not familiar with the hotel facilities (eg how to open the balcony door), services (eg where the tour that we booked through the hotel would pick us up in the morning) and surroundings (eg a good restaurant nearby). The included breakfast is expansive but not very fresh-looking, there are few sunchairs by the pool and it is about 500 meters uphill from the beach. Overall, it is not located in a pleasant area and the rooms aren't worth the price you pay. Great bathrooms though!

Ive stopped here twice now, in June 2004 and in August 2005. Very pleased with the room and bathroom on both occasions, but like the other reviews have said the balcony is a bit on the small size and there arent many sun loungers available. There is a bit of a building site next door (ground level) but you dont really notice it until you're walking past, so it doesnt really spoil your stay in any way. Its not too far to walk into Marbella. Takes around 30 minutes. I would recomend this hotel even though it does have a few small problems.
