We were looking for a quiet place to chill, and Sentidos provided exactly what it said on the box. Probably the offseason timing helped
somewhat. We stayed in an Eagle Suite, which we found delightful- -pastel tones, superb bed, fantastic bath, plenty of space. Peaceful view across the golf course, where the only rowdiness were the sparrows. The restaurant is excellent: the dinner menu is limited in selection, but made up for it with high quality food, excellent presentation, and well-intentioned but occasionally quirky service. Breakfast is best when there are a limited number of guests: menu service resulted in higher quality presentation; whereas the buffet, while nicely laid out, doesn't offer freshly warmed bread and pastry selection, for example. The bar is spacious and service is friendly, if a bit literal: a fresh lime juice was just that - puckeringly sour! A car is vital. The beach is about 3km away, but the coast at Rio Real is OK for a stroll, but not for a swim - it's a bit rocky. The hotel stipulated no children under 18, but on the Friday there were a couple of families with small children. This did not detract, in our view. We did not try the spa. We warmly recommend Sentidos for
a quiet, high quality break.
