We have been visiting Marbella for over a decade, I remember my first visit to the port I was blown away by is beauty, cleanliness and amazing boats, It felt like a very rich, exclusive area and somewhere I dreamed of living. Today its really a different story the port still as boats but they are not so great anymore and the area seems to be suffering in the current economic climate, the second line is a complete disaster area with stag and hen nights, now the thought of living on the port is my idea of hell and I feel for anyone who is unfortunate enough to have an apartment there. However, too much of the negativity, the port still is a great place to watch the posers and plastic people!! It also as great shops if you have deep pockets!! not to mention some nice bars and restaurants again which vary vastly on price and quality, the port as become a real tourist trap!! With numerous street sellers constantly asking you to look at their fake merchandise!!
