My boyfriend and i stayed in private accomodation in Marbella last June.
It is a lovely place, only if you are planning on going privately i would suggest checking everything, as we just assumed the pools would be open and they were not, as Summer doed not start until July! Bummer! For me Marbella was a bit pricy, we spent nearly all our money on food and we thought we had taken more than enough as we only went for one week! There is a steak house called Carnivore and it is absolutely gorgeous, i felt happy paying what we did for this meal as the food and service was fab! There is also a bar/restaraunt called The Banana Tree, which is great we were in Marbella during the football and the atmosphere was great they catered for every country, it was somewhere my boyfriend and i found ourselves for most meals! The prices were excellent, especially for the portion sizes and just how yummy the food was, they do everything from burgers to currys!
The most memorable experience was the catamaran, it was great, plenty of sunbathing, with regular drinks of sangria on the house!! Great music was accompanied, it takes the majority of the day but it is well worth it, especially the chance to go on the banana boat at the end! This sights you see are breath taking! There is also a boat that acts as a bus! Taking you rom one side to the other. You can also go on a horse and cart into the old town which is a must!
I would personally recomend Marbella for maturer couples on a relaxing holiday! Not really for families, i think children may get board!
