We chose this hotel based on the Tripadvisor reports and, generally, were not disappointed. Our room was spacious with adequate storage space and a good-sized balcony. The public rooms were very smart and there were 4 internet stations for public usage, at a reasonable charge. We were on B & B terms, so we did not sample the dinners, but the buffet-style breakfasts were excellent. The choice of foods was very wide, suitable for all reasonable requirements, with as much as you could eat.
The location of the hotel was excellent, right on the front but with little or no traffic noise. As we were on B & B terms, we ate out each (9) night and there is an good choice of reasonably priced restaurants within easy walking distance. The main shopping area, and the bus and train stations, are fairly close to the hotel (perhaps 10 minutes brisk walk) but up a steep public stairway, but there is also an attended lift from the front, which, at 50c per person, is well worth it. (Just watch that the lift is closed from about 6pm)
The hotel has live entertainment every night (usually music for dancing) which continues until about 12.30am. This might be a problem for light sleepers as, with the bar/lounge doors open, the music can be heard by rooms facing the pool (which is about 1/2 the rooms), even with the windows shut. We solved the problem by adopting Spanish hours, staying up late and getting up late, but it was a disturbance on days when we had to get up early.
The other problem was the pool area. It is very small for a hotel of this size, perhaps with space for about 100 loungers. If you are looking for a lazy holiday, especially with small children, you will almost certainly have to hire chairs/ sun brollies from the public beach across the road. Having said that, the beaches were beautifully clean and very tempting. The charge for a chair was about €4 per person per day.
Finally, I would mention that all rooms have a sea view, which was very relaxing. One point to watch however is that about half the rooms are on the 'shaded' side of the hotel and get little or no direct sunshine on their balconies. In the very hot weather we enjoyed, even in October, this was on balance a benefit but might not appeal to everybody, especially given the small pool area.
