This was a really good holiday in Torremolinos. The hotel has perfect gardens with lots of swimming pools (about 6 outdoor plus one indoor), two outdoor Jacuzzi and lots of sport and animation activities in the hotel areal. This hotel has shared gardens with the other Sol Don hotels (Sol Don Marco and Sol Don Pablo) and it is only up to you, which hotel you want to accommodate in. I think each of them is in similar good quality. Sol Don Pablo is the highest hotel with plenty of rooms. We prefer smaller hotel and Don Pedro and Don Marco are exactly that. Don Marco seems to be the newest one. These hotels are near to sea, about 100m cross the road. The beach is long and sandy, but the sea was quite cold and not so clean.
Our room was fine, small and comfortable. It had a large balcony with perfect view and manual air-conditioning. The bathroom was very cute and towels were changed every day.
Food was very tasty, we had half-board, but it is sufficient enough, because the breakfast is from 7:15 to 10:30 am and the dinner from 18:15 to 22:00 pm.
The animation program and activities were standard good as it used to be in 4*+ hotels. From sport activities in areal we really enjoyed the lawn ball. But you can also play table tennis, football, tennis, volleyball (beach and pool), darts... or shoot from various weapons.
I really appreciate the hotel staff from receptionists to chambermaids- everyone was very pleasant and helpful. In general, Spanish people are very kind people.
From trips, you definitely must see Gibraltar- its rock and apes. Malaga is also nice place to see, mainly the cathedral. There are also other trips- to Sevilla, Granada or Ronda and so on, but they are more time-consuming. You can order a trip in the hotel, but you can walk about 200m to the tourist agency where these trips are a little bit cheaper (about 5€ per person).
I think this hotel is also suitable for families with small children. Most of hotel guest were from Spain, Germany and UK, so the nights were quiet ;).
We have a superior room with garden and little bit of sea view and it was really cool. But opposite...
