I stayed at the Hotel Simbad (really should have a name change!) in the last week of september with my boyfriend we are both aged 21 and wanted a chill out before returning to uni and as ibiza is just winding down closing parties for all the clubs and the last good week for the weather it seemed like the right choice!

The hotels reception is very bright and modern and as we arrived at 3am the staff were welcoming and had food prepared for us if we were hungry. When arriving to the room we found that we had two singles pushed together as i knew that often hotels did this when booking i went for the option of double the following morning when asking to change rooms the staff on duty were very rude which i felt was held against us for the rest of the trip (we never did get the double bed!) whenever we asked about local restaurants etc they were very offhand and unhelpful whereas the bar staff were wonderful in drink choices and general manner.

Room: cleaned everyday fresh bed linen etc one of the smaller rooms we have stayed in but good comfort. Tv has only one english channel not that it matters. plenty of wardrobe space.

Food: plenty of choice at breakfast and dinner but we went out most evenings so only had dinner twice. The snack menu is very limited during the day it is eithe a big meal from the restaurant or a hot dog no salads, chips, sandwichs.

Location: we purposefully chose a place situated slightly out so to be away from the noise so we were happy to go into town via taxi for very little.

overall a very chic hotel with a nice relaxing vibe. Also pool area very nice but sun loungers are the type that are always in the lying position which was disappointing. do have pics but to large to put up but email me and i can send them.

We are both 30 and nearing the end of our clubbing careers, however wanted one last hurrah..! We chose Simbad because of its proximity to Ibiza town, but also its beach location as we are now 'one night on, one night off' kinda guys...! The hotel has been refurbished, the reception area is very modern, and there is a fabulous deck area looking out over the ocean where you can enjoy evening drinks. The gym/pool indoors are brand new and are excellent. The staff are a mix of English and Spanish, and are extremely helpful and friendly (very rare in Spain these days!), Indeed, the lobby area and bar / resturant would not look out of place in a 5 star hotel, and for me the SImbad is way better than Pacha hotel, it has a nicer laid back feel, is 10 metres from a great beach, with a variety of superb restaurants lining the beachfront (we recommend Talamanca club for great pizzas). There is a masseur on the beach beside Talamanca club, and overall the place just has a great chilled feel, just what you need after a day in space or night in Pacha!.
We live in Dubai, and are accustomed to superb accomodation and service, however we could not fault the Simbad in any way and would definitely recommend it.

Just got back from Hotel Simbad, what a lovely Hotel, it has been up dated and in excellent order.Lovely views from the dinning room, glass doors that open automaticaly for you.Brand new
in door swimming pool and gym.Great food with on show cooking for breakfast and evening meal.
Staff very helpful,infact we had a sea view and this was lovely, which overlooked the bay of Talamanca.

Talamanca is quite but you can get taxi boat from the port to go into ibiza town at night.Talamanca port is must, large yahts and
boats with posh shops and to look round.
Great place for a family holiday.

We arrived at 01.30 and a pleasant night porter was there to greet us and help us to the room.
Accommodation was clean- fresh recently decorated with working air con.
The food was of good quality with a good selection and again the staff were very welcoming.
The location suffered from being a bit remote, although there is other property and hotels alongside
There was very little by way of shops but a 1.20 Euro bus ride (10 mins) to Ibiza town solved all that.

ALL the staff were friendly and helpful and although we shared the hotel with mostly German guests We enjoyed our break in Ibiza.
