i returned from a 5 day trip to Palma today and stayed at the Nixe Palace nr palma.
all the staff were briiliant, francisco is the manager.
it was our family get together and there were 7 of us and also a 60th birthday.the hotel laid on champange breakfast and a lovely cake.
The hotel is classed as 5 star, and in our opinion is yes it is.
The decoration of the rooms is new and was spotlessly clean. We found all the staff very friendly and helpfull,
and they even upgraded one room to a suite...thank you.
The breakfast, which was included in the price, was exceptional. It had all you could want, pastries, fruit, bacon, eggs and even champagne! Eating breakfast was an even greater pleasure when sitting on the terrace, overlooking the bay. Amazing view!
The Ecological Spa was a fantasic addition to our stay. The suroundings are relaxing and very well thought out, with a fabulous steam room and pool. all free to use for hotel guests. i would highly recommend a stay at the hotel Nixe Palace. If the opportunity arose again, i wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
you must book a seaview room...dont book at the back you will be disappointed.
i cant wait to go back soon.
thank you nixe place for a super stay.roger aves

We returned from a four day trip to Palma yesterday, and stayed at the Nixe Palace in the Cala Major region. The hotel is classed as 5 star, and in our opinion is worthy of every one. The decoration of the rooms is modern and was spotlessly clean. We found the staff very friendly and helpfull, and they even upgraded our room from a city view to a sea view, free of charge.

The Ecological Spa was a fantasic addition to our stay. The suroundings are relaxing and very well thought out, with a fabulous steam room and hydropool, all free to use for hotel guests. Additional treaments are available, for an extra charge, but we didn't sample these.
The only dissapointment was the hotels location. It is in what I would call a 'scruffy' area of the island, but the local bus service (EMT) has an excelent service, with stops just outside the hotel, which takes you into the center of Palma.
Overall we would highly recommend a stay at the hotel Nixe Palace. If the opportunity arose again, we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

We stayed at the Nixe Palace over Christmas 2007 and enjoyed our stay. The best thing about the hotel is it's location right on the beach which is very clean and pretty. The rooms were a good size and well equipped (except for a lack of tea/coffee making facilities which you normally get in most hotels). The balconies were lovely, overlooking the sea and getting full sun all day. The are a few points
that let the hotel down, firstly, the staff. The majority of them were
fine and helpful but there was one lady in particular on the front desk who was very rude and unhelpful. My mum had her money stolen from
her purse and the woman on reception refused to help with a statement for the insurance company. There was also another instance where a mistake had been made on our room bill and the front desk did not apologise, and implied we were trying to "get away with something". Also it is very expensive for drinks. Apart from this though it's a nice hotel. There are a few nice bars around Cala Mayor too, Buenos Aires down the road does a nice pizza. Only warning would be to watch your valuables in your room as we had one instance where the maid took some money from the floor and put it in her pocket, we were lucky
to get it back.

After reading mixed reviews on here I was a little uncertain to what we would find once we arrived. However, right from the start I was delighted with this hotel. Yes there was building and rennovation work going on but I hardly heard it, nor did it impinge on my holiday in any way. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the hotel deserved every one of its 5*'s. Although we did not eat main meals in the hotel the breakfasts were fantastic and even in November we sat outside on the terace, over looking the sea, to eat.
I would certainly stay here again if I was to go back to Majorca.
