The appartments are situated a good walk from the main resort. Reps say it is a 10 minute walk, it is really 20 minutes with kids in tow. The pool area has plenty of sun loungers and space and the pool was cleaned daily. The bar serves the usual sort of food, quality compared quite well with others on the island. If you want a quiet pool-side holiday this might be for you, but as soon as you want to move off site (e.g. for cash machine or for an different eating place) you will need a car or will have to walk to town. Alternatively, catch the local bus to Ciutadela - market day is friday or saturday.
The appartments are OK, what you would expect for a 2*; better than some I have seen. They are cleaned regularly; Don't expect to be able to cook much though as the cooking facilities are very basic.
There is a small shop on site, and all staff speak English. Evening entertainment is, errrr, mixed. The Freddie Mercury tribute act is a crime against humanity; the rest seemed to keep the kids amused well enough.
Take time to walk down the hill from the hotel to the small beach, and if you can take a peddallo up the cove towards the open sea.
In conclusion, would we go again? Yes, probably, but we would make sure we had a car for at least some of the time

After our enjoyable holiday here last year we returned again this year for the last week in June& first week in July.

Obviously we knew what we were getting after last year.

The Aparments again were well equiped, clean and on this occasion we were lucky enough to get an Apartment out of view of the pool and right beside the track to the Beach, and as we are Beach animals that suited us down to the ground.

There was one major improvement this year as last year if you wanted a fan you had to hire one with a daily charge, this year all bedrooms had been fitted with a ceiling fan over the beds, which was a real surprise and a welcome one at that.

As to the Beach there was only 1 day out of the 14 where some Jellyfish had come into the bay, but even then only an Amber flag needed and people still swimming, in fact the kids with their nets took it upon themselves to clear all the Jellyfish out of the water. It would appear this problem only occurs when there is a on shore breeze.

The Cove Cafe still had the same staff who remembered us from last year and we normally had Lunch here. The only complaint I had about the Beach last year was the price of the Sunbeds and I would like to think it was something to do with my review last year as this year the price had been reduced from 22 euros to 18. Although the beds have all been moved forward on the Beach meaning a bit less room at front of Beach.

We also had the Acrobatsarrive on the Beach on 2 days, which are aleways enjoyable to watch and put on a good show for a few cents in the Hat once they have finished.

We had some nice neighbours in the next door apartment and after eating out each night we used to meet up either at Churchills or the Pirate Bar on the Beach to have a drink and discuss the day. The Pirate bar on the Beach is now open to 2 in the morning and has entertainment at 4 and 9 p.m. most days, this included Flamenco, a Pianist and Singer and even a Comedian.

It is a waste of time mentioning all the eating establishments as there are far to many and all have a good selection, but a couple to mention are the Chinese beside Churchills now doing a all you can eat buffet for 6.90 euros, the Snack Bar at the Beach (Treasure Island) and the Anchor just before you go into Los Delphines.

All in all we had an excellent holiday again and will proabley return again next year.

where shall I start? what a great family holiday we had. a lovely set of apartments, which were very comfortable & clean. great bar area, freindly staff. fab pools, the kids pool is safe & brill - our 2 kids spent most of their holiday in it!! reception staff were lovely & very helpful. a convenient nice little supermarket on site. you can hire pushchairs. the holiday reps were really good, the kids club was great. would recommend to any family for a brill holiday. we didn't have 1 thing to grumble about from start to finish. there isn't a great deal to cala'n blanes but every evening we walked into the neighbouring town of cala'n forcat, which took 15-20mins, where there is a nice choice of shops, restaurants, bars etc & so much to do for the kids. it is lovely walk aswell.

If you want a low priced family holiday this is the place for you. If you want peace and quiet stay away from here.If you want A lively holiday with plenty of activity Vista Blanes Appartments will suit you down to the ground, theres plenty to do without leaving the complex. The food in the bar is good value, but if you like to cook the kitchens are very basic,two rings and a microwave.
The swimming pool is excelent with plenty of room. The staff are very frendly and the bar prices are not too bad eg 2.20 euros for a pint.
There is a small beach 5 mins away but is does get crowded.
