We booked this holiday through Thomas Cook website,it cost £246 for both of us, and we were very pleased with the accomodation. Clean and bright room with a large balcony that over looked the pool. Flat screen tv,microwave and good cooking facilities,The bathroom was large with a full size bath and overhead shower, also a second shower in the bathroom which was very convenient ..Towels changed regularly as was the bed linen, I cannot fault the standard of the room. We are a couple in our forties and although we thoroughly enjoyed our stay ( thanks to car hire and exploring the island) I feel this hotel caters more for the buggy brigade i.e parents who seem to like staying up late with babies and toddlers crying and running around, also older kids who seemed to like running across the stage when they had decent, worth watching entertainment on,of which I have to say the Robbie Williams tribute act is very good and well worth watching also the magic/ acrobat act was quite good too.The jacuzzi and sauna were expensive at 12 euros each for an hour. The reception staff seemed to be efficient and polite, the maids were very friendly.
Bar staff seemed to be a little indifferent, but then again I probably gave them reason too as I told them to top up the drinks more than once.....a pint of lager with a 2inch head.?????. The hotel is right opposite the marina which is packed with restaurants, although after walking around it a couple of times I felt like jumping in..it did get a bit boring! It is well advisable too hire a car and get around the island. The beach at cala n bosch I am sure is man made, however if you go to sant tomas the beach is very nice, park in the car park and further down to your left there is a clothing optional beach very quite and well worth a visit.
Mahon is also very picturesque and worth a walk around, as is Cuitidella,
l would recommend this hotel for families, If it had an adult only bar we never found it, but it would be nice as the hotel overall is very good

Ok so the weather was appalling - rainy, cold and overcast for 5 of the 7 days - which undoubtedly contributed to our bad experience, but it was a poor holidaying experience nevertheless. The resort has no back up plan for poor weather, there is simply nothing to do. No indoor swimming pool, no heated outdoor one. (One review above says there's an indoor pool - that's not true, or at least we were not made aware of its existence!). The first (and only) evening my kids went swimming in the pool they caught conjunctivitis and chest colds. The kids club and thursday night "parents night off" was also useless to us as one of our children is just under 3, so she was too young. In addition, there are 15 child places in the club, and there were over 50 children staying at the resort that week, and it was a quiet week.

Foodwise: If you can't do without your tabloid newspapers, your "english sausages" and your chips 'n egg, and you don't like Spanish food, you'll love Cala'n Bosch. But then, seeing as it rained for the week, why not just stay at home? We found the food in the hotel and in resort restaurants (what little we ate of it) to be pretty substandard, unappetising and not cheap either considering the quality.

Outside of the resorts Menorca is a pretty little island and has some really fabulous restaurants serving glorious fresh fish, and without the side-order of baked beans.... The neighbouring town of Ciutadella is really nice and we had truly top class food there on a number of occasions in a number of restaurants. Fornells is another town maybe 30 to 40 km away worth visiting for lunch or dinner.

On the plus side (of the resort) - staff in the club were genuinely friendly and helpful, beer is reasonably priced, there's a big hypermarket in the nearby town (Ciutadella agan!) where you can buy whatever you like including fabulous cheap rioja reserva! Car hire in the resort is well cheap, easy and hassle free. Bicycle hire is easy too but the bikes are not high quality. Unlike Majorca there is no option to hire proper high quality mountain bikes or road bikes (racers). Powered two-wheel hire is restricted to Korean 125cc scooters, it's not possible to rent decent motorcycles. Also there's none of the standard resort aimless thrill seeking stuff to pass the time - jetski hire, speedboats, towed banana boats, paragliding etc, none of that, and the beach is ... pretty lame to be honest.

Overall - again I know the bad weather didn't help but - very disappointing, we were glad to leave, and we won't be back.

Have just returned form Paradise Club and had an absolutely fantastic week. The weather could have been better but luckily there was an indoor pool that kept us and the kids happy! We stayed in a 2 bedroomed apartment. There was an en suite and a bathroom. They were modern and clean. There was an LCD tv with BBC one and Cbeebies!! We had a pool view which was lovely. Everything is within easy walking distance. There were plenty of restaurants to choose from most of them serving chicken nuggets and fish fingers for the kids. We especially liked El Pescuador. The breakfasts were great with real english sausages!!! For the kids there was a place called Goody Goody which had a pool wih a couple of waterslides, trampolies, bouncy castles, go karts and amusements. There is also free entertainment duch as mini gladiator and grand prix. For the adults there is free bingo and a free quiz where you can win a cocktail. We had a fantastic week and only wish we had gone for longer. We will definetly go back!!

We booked this holiday as a late deal and stayed the first week the hotel was open.

Used to rep in this resort many years ago so was interested to see what had changed.

HOTEL / ARRIVAL

Smart appearance - very modern - clean

Although we hired a car - the transfer coach beat us, long queues as always at check in, however entertainment staff were on hand to help pass the time - a nice touch.

ROOMS

Very spacious and clean. LOVED flat screen TV with English channels - especially CBEEBIES - fab if you have little uns with you.

Large bathroom, full size bath with shower and also a seperate shower unit too.

POOLS

Great 3 in all. 1 small kids pool, large pool and up the top another pool which adults can get away from kids if they want to.

FOOD

We opted for half board option a bargain if purchased before you go. The food was quite varied for a buffet and staff in restaurant areas very good.

(The marina has some nice restaurants too so try some of those too.)

ENTERTAINMENT

Staff really friendly and welcoming - you actaully wanted to participate - the kids all really loved the mini disco too

OVERALL

Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone - especially good if you have young kids with you. We had a great time and met some lovely people,

“Great hotel, resort, island”

ApartHotel Paradise Club & Spa

Lovely hotel, resort & island. Just had a great week in the Paradise Club (just my husband & I) - a last minute cheap deal with Thomas Cook. Hotel is v. nice - big well-equipped apartment, lovely gardens. We went self-catering and didn't eat at the hotel, so not sure what the restaurant is like. The hotel location is good - opposite the harbour (try the Italian restaurant overlooking the boats - delicious food) and not far from 2 lovely beaches. Not much open until the very end of April/beginning of May, but that didn't bother us at all. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone - especially if you have kids as the entertainment team seemed to be working very hard to keep them entertained. Had a great couple of dives with Kirsten of Bluewater scuba - definitely should try diving if you haven't already!
