Just back from a week in the Aquarius. Clean spacious rooms (separate bedroom), Towels changed daily. great sea view.
We were aprehensive after reading some reviews and now wonder whether these individuals were staying in the same apartments. OK the food was not always piping hot but then few hotels offering a similar service score 10/10 . Good selection of food and if you time it right when a new batch comes out of the kitchen then it is hot. We would have no hesitation in visiting this establishment in the future.

We stayed 5 nights at this aparthotel & having read so many scary stories about food quality in Lanzarote hotels, booked our stay to include breakfast only.

As has been mentioned in other reviews of this aparthotel, we found the interior of our 4th floor apartment could do with a bit of renovation, in particular the bathroom. The white furniture in the living room & kitchen looked a bit dated but functioned fine.The main door was tight to the floor, the bath was showing it's age (the base was a slight shade of grey) and a light switch in the bedroom was deep-set. One other thing which I would advise, as others have, is that this aparthotel is NOT for the elderly or those with a medical condition as there is no lift, so it's steps all the way to each floor.

However the postives considerably outweighed the negatives for us. I should say that our plan was never to eat-in or stay in the aparthotel complex 24/7 (we much preferred to get out & see the island), but for those who do, the kitchen was well equipped, with a microwave, conventional oven and even a jug-kettle. The living room also had a flat-screen TV. The location was exactly what we were looking for away from the gaudy tourist strip, in the old town of Puerto del Carmen overlooking the harbour. The staff too were most helpful in our dealings with them in booking tours etc. The dining room was well equipped for breakfast with your usual fare (including beans, eggs, sausages etc. if you feel up to it first thing in the morning!), and the staff were very pleasant. The range of options for evening meals looked fine too from what we could see when passing through.

All in all, we found the place fine, very much to our liking in terms of location and also in terms of being able to head out north or south. The quality of the apartment was reasonable bearing in mind the price.

This was the worst experience i have ever had. We stay in lanzarote every year and I have never stayed in such a dump - the bath was chipped and covered with a plastic mat covered in mildew. The sofa smelt so bad of stale sweat that we couldn't sit on it. The patio furniture was cracked and all in all the place was totally run down. On complaining, we were informed that the apartments are used as time share properties, which may explain the condition of the place. We also requested a ground floor apartment (or at least a low level) as we had heard there were a lot of steps and I have a heart condition (which we explained in emails) - they put us on the 6th floor - there was no lift. The only good thing this place had to offer was the breakfast, which was surprisingly good all other things considered. Needless to stay I would not return here, even if I won a free holiday!!!

Went for new year all inclusive which isnt strictly true as u get 3 meals +drinks, snacks etc extra but for what your paying not a problem food /drink were good and varied only the fussiest would have a problem i.e people expecting 5star for price of 3 location ideal for old town where plenty of different types of eating and drinking
Only drawback with aquarius is as stated in other reviews is the amount of stairs we were on sixth floor great view but getting your cases up no easy task room was fine apart from very poor bath which was in need of re-enamelling, staff very friendly plenty of sun loungers and room around pool really enjoyed the week cant wait for april
