Stayed here for 7 nights with our 2 children aged 4 and 5. The hotel overall is OK but not as good as I was hoping. We were located in block 200 next to the room my parents were allocated. After 1 night we had to swap because of the terrible noise from the road and Karaoke bars which didn't stop until gone 2 am. My parents heard none of the noise (room 217) as their bedroom faced the opposite direction, but room 218 was dreadful. The cleanliness of the rooms was good but did not include basic things like a kettle. The bathroom was better than some I've seen but worse than others. The pool area was inadequate for the size of the hotel and although signs said not to - people did reserve sunbeds. The water in the pool was ice cold and unfit for young children to swim in. We spent any time in the resort on the beach which was fantastic. The restaurant area was just average - and definately under staffed. Any dropped food was left for the duration, and on one occasion a waiter dropped a glass and left it in pieces on the floor. A family unknowingly sat at the table and we made a point of telling them about the broken glass around their feet. The entertainment at the hotel is first class. My children loved the Mini Disco and for that reason alone I'd say the hotel was acceptable overall - but nothing special.
Loved Costa Teguise and would return but only self catering as the restaurants are great for eating out. The trip to Fire Mountain was well worth it but the Tropical Gardens trip was not.
