“Great looking hotel.....”

Hotetur Bahia Flamingo

....however a very disappointing experience. Entrance to hotel is shabby which also doubles as bar and entertainment room with nowhere near enough seats/table for guests. No lifts to rooms and staircase at back of hotel - not a great first impression. We just spent the New Year week at Bahia Flamingo and paid £896 all inclusive (flights and transfer were additional) so expected a good hotel and great experience. Room was basic although kept very clean - we had spacious twin room, lounge for extra bed and bathroom. However the room next to us which was a double was very small. View from the balcony was stunning with great sunsets. Where the hotel fell down was restaurant and entertainment. Food reminded us of school dinners - edible but not inspiring. Puddings and breakfast were a disaster. Gala dinner on Old Years night however was a vast improvement. If we hadn't paid so much money for all inclusive we would have eaten out most nights (and plenty of the guests did). Staff throughout the hotel (with exception of one receptionist) did save the day and all inclusive drinks were fine apart from frozen red wine in restaurant. Swimming pool never got used as was colder than ice (if that's possible!!) so plenty of congestion around the pool with sun-beds. Pool and table tennis kept us occupied.
The resort is quiet but a great beach and supermarket in Playa de la Arena, and stunning coastal walk to Los Gigantes a few miles away. Would recommend the Whale/shark trip from the marina - but go on one of the speedboats.
In summary we won't be returning - probably because we are used to better quality and standards - but if the price is right for a 3star hotel I wouldn't advise against it.

This is an nice hotel, food was good, warm enough and there was always a different meat or veg etc. and plentyof it.
The staff were helpful and had a smile and any probs were delt with very quickly
It is a short hilly walk to the beach something you dont do more than twice a day, the sea is very powerful so beware of the kids on their own .
The pool is very cold so you don't tend to use it,well only once?haha, the beech is a haven for the sun, not many local shops etc but enough,
We upgraded to all inclusive once there £80 each but worth every penny as 1 round of two beers and two pops was £12, overall a good value for money holiday, market on a sunday in Los Cristianos is big and plenty of shops in Playa de la Americas
Downsides were smells from bathroom, the cold pool, and if in the summer the music, the entertainment was poor, African Footprint were the only act worth watching,
Yes we would stay again we had a good time a good 3 star.

“Good location, ave 3 star hotel”

Hotetur Bahia Flamingo

Stayed here for a week just prior to Christmas.
Hotel OK for a 3 star & is in a good location.
Room was a bit small (top floor) - the rooms get larger the closer to the ground you get.
One complaint is that there wasn't enough hot water for 2 people to have showers in the morning.
The food at breakfast was ok but rather poor quality.

We had a lovely time at this hotel.
The food was excellent. My 9 year old is a fussy eater but he always found something to eat.
The views are spectacular from the hotel.
Our room was very big.
For a 3 star the hotel is above average.
The entertainment wasn't up to much but a couple of good shows
My husband who is hard to please was very happy the rooms were very clean with clean towels and sheets daily.
The xmas meal was excellent. All the staff were very helpfull
and friendly.
would recommend christmas at this hotel.

“Had a Fabulous time”

Hotetur Bahia Flamingo

My boyfriend and i have just returned from a two week stay at the Hotel Flamingo and had a wonderful time, excellent value for money, the rooms although basic were adequate,(could have done with a small fridge and air conditioning) but overall we have no complaints,we had a room on the top floor and it was amazing to see the spectacular sunsets over La Gomera each night and we woke up to glorious sunshine each morning. The place was clean and tidy, maids came in every day except sunday,we found the staff to be friendly and helpful, food was really good with quite a selection on offer, tables were always set, the pool was cleaned regularly,my only complaint is that it was freezing..so only went in once..The hotel is only a short walk from Playa Del Arena where we spent many days just lazing on the beach watching the waves which were amazing... in town there were quite a few bars and restaurants, we went to Highland Paddys a few times and the staff there were really friendly,i loved browsing round the many gift shops,Los Gigantes is definately worth several visits, there are lots of trips out to see the Pilot Whales and Dolphins we went twice, it was great to see them in their natural habitat...not much night life for younger people, but we liked it like that...we didn't want to come home...will definately go back again
