We stayed here for two days following our cruise and were extremely satisfied with our choice. The Sixty Two is a thoroughly and modernly updated boutique hotel on Passeig de Gracia.
Others have spoken highly of its location, and they are right. It is just a short walk from Las Ramblas and within steps of the Metro, the Hop On/Off bus lines, taxi stands, and more. Its central location enabled us easily walk to many of the great sights of Barcelona and enjoy all the city offers.
The hotel may initially be somewhat hard to find (unlike the nearby "Majestic") as it has a relatively small entry sandwiched between other businesses (look for the bookstore) at ground level. Do not be dismayed, however, the interior has been completely updated with fairly upscale modern contemporary furnishings and amenities. We found it to be clean, quiet and comfortable for our stay (our room was at the back on the fourth floor). Our bed was comfortable and there was a somewhat separated sofa couch area that our teen found to be more than adequate for his sleep. I do have to note, however, that I found the somewhat narrow, tall-sided bathtub to be a little slippery to get in and out of. That said, the equipment worked especially well, and a long hot shower after each day's sightseeing was appreciated.
The staff was friendly and helpful and the service was exemplary during our stay. We will not hesitate to return to the Sixty Two the next time we visit Barcelona.
