We stayed here for 5 nights in March and then returned for one more night after travelling to Morocco for 8 days. We were travelling with our kids ages 11 and 14. The first 5 nights we had a superior room and the kids a standard room. The final one night we both had standard rooms. So, in all we stayed in 4 different rooms. They were all wonderful. We did like the extra space of the superior - it also had a couch, which was particularly helpful when the kids came into our room to hang out as we got ready.
I will say we stayed in 3 different standard rooms and they were all configured a bit different, but all very nice. I would not hesitate to stay in one. We were a bit concerned about the comments of them being small, but really did not find it an issue. They all had nice closet and drawer space and a nicely appointed bathroom.
The staff was all excellent. There did seem to be a discrepancy in our reservation when we first checked in, but everything was taken care of to our satisfaction. I think the fact that the manager clearly monitors the reviews here shows how much they are interested in making your stay the best.
We loved the breakfast and the buffet breakfast - other than some small B&B's we have stayed in Italy, definitely the best European breakfast buffet for a hotel. The breakfast staff was very helpful and friendly, always remembering our preferred morning drink.
This is in an excellent location, we were able to walk to L'Eixample, Las Ramblas, Barri Gothic and El Born. Right near Placa Catalunya but on a nice quiet side street. Our rooms were facing the street and we never had any noise problems.
We all loved this place and hope to return soon!
