Booked a last-minute break here and glad we did. The weather was fantastic the whole week (whilst it was overcast in the UK). Booked a flight from our local airport to Alicante and the owners picked us up from Alicante airport (about 20mins away) which was cheaper than a taxi fare.

We stayed in the self-catering villa which is in the grounds of the owners villa but set well away so you feel secluded. Lovely views of the mountains and we had our own outdoor patio area for eating and watching the sun go down.

We had an arrival pack which included wine and food basics which was a nice welcome. The hosts were friendly and took the time to recommend local places to visit and restaurants that had good reviews.

The villa had a good sized bedroom and realy nice bathroom with a large wet-room style shower - the kitchen was modern and newly fitted and the airconditioning came in handy at night.

There was a lovely sized swimming pool which I spent most the week in!

We've already booked a return holiday here as it's a cheap getaway for the summer (providing you can get good price flights).

Only negatives is that you really need a hire car to get around as Villa Tranquilo is just outside a village away from the main tourist tracks (although the hosts were more than happy to drive us around for a small fee, providing we booked a bit in advance).
