Stayed here for two nights just after new year. its a great value hotel in an excellent location right on the town hall square. its only a two minute walk to the port, which has a multitude of bars and restaurants, and there are many more traditional tapas bars just around the corner. I would definitely stay here again!

Been here a couple of years ago and had the same experience this year, FANTASTIC! Fair enough the square's noisy at night but it's the
town hall square, what do you expect? Very comfortable hotel and the staff are more than accommodating, assuring us of good rooms (which materialised) looking after bags and generally welcoming.

The main reason we returned to Mediterranea Plaza was the location.
Being the Ayuntamiento the Easter parades often end here, giving a spectacular vista to anyone residing in the local hotels/accommodation. Highly recommended indeed!

The were 4 of us in our party and we were allocated ajoining rooms. They were both clean and well presented. The one was about twice the size of the other but even the smaller one was a decent size. The rooms overlooked a lovely square in the civic centre and we watched the comings and goings (about 6 weddings on the Saturday evening). The location was great for the bars, beach and shops.

And now the down side.....the bells in the town hall rang every 15 minutes from 8am to 11 pm. (so 7am british time). If you dont want i lie in, then it is great. No tea of coffe in rooms which was a surprise for a 4* hotel.

The restaurant next door, which had tables in the square was lovely. The manager ordered for us, stating the meal would be free if we didnt like his choice. The fish was great and we all happily paid!

Stayed in this hotel in October 2006.

Room was very clean, bathroom very good, hotel was well located between the old town and the beach/marina. Staff were fine.

The main negative points are firstly that the hotel is on the route between all the night life in the old town from which a large number of revellers walk down to the marina at about 3.00 am where the bars stay open later. Secondly if you require room service etc at odd hours it just doesn't exist.

Overall we had no complaints considering the cost.

Stayed 1 night here at beginning of september, Room was OK for a 4 star , but aircon was noisy and not all that effective. couldn't open window because of the noise.

There were no coffee making facilities , which I find strange for a 4 star hotel , and the satelite TV had only CNN channel in english.

Most strange thing though was that the bathroom had an open (couldn't close) louvre window onto a central air shaft , other rooms did as well which meant that you were able to hear everything that occured in other bathrooms nearby , so unless you like hearing other residents using the lavatory , keep the bathroom door closed
