We have just arrived back from this hotel and were very dissapointed.
The surroundings are very dirty and crawling with cats which soil the dirt tracks loosly called paths.
The hotel has NO swimming pool and a tiny beech which you would not want to go near. This realy spoilt our holiday as there was no where to sit and relax.
There is no shuttle bus and the walk to the public bus is very steep and uphill. If you are limited with your walking do not go here.
We were there a week and only had cleen sheets on the last day.
I would not recomend this hotel to any one, and we feel that a 3 star hotel should have a fridge in the room.
Would we go again? NO WAY!

Dont stay here . It is a pit . Photos online look fine but dont be fooled this is way more Hostal than Hotel . The Hotel is off the edge of a cliff in a pit, close to nothing , although it say's 50 metres to the beach it is actually the sea and within the 50 metres ate grotty old tennis courts and a walkway that stinks of urine...... really. In the room the bathroom and bedding were clean but the carpets were grubby and a large suspicious looking stain sat upon one of the chairs......yuk. The worst thing was the aircondtioning , despite being on for hours it didnt make an ounce of difference, it was soooooooooo HOT , Ihad to keep having cold showers just to stay alive . The carpark is not secure it is just a dust bowl out front. The service at reception was non existent . Dont waste your money staying here , you would be better off sleeping in your car. Oh the only luxury item in the hotel is a shoe shine machine next to the lift on every floor , I dont think they work as the carpet is filthy.

This hotel gets one star because the room was clean. But it is not as advertised. It advertises a swimming pool, which it does not have. It advertises seafront views, which I requested but got instead a small room at the back without a balcony overlooking a hole in the ground. It advertises free taxi service from the city, but that is not until you get to the hotel. It advertises that it is perched on a cliff, overlooking the sea, but it is not. I was charged over $100 night for this.

My husband and I visited this hotel in March 2006, it's a very basic, but clean and friendly hotel , there is no entertainment, just a small no smoking bar, this closes at midnight. The food is not up to much and if you have children i wouldn't recommend it, the hotel is at the bottom of a very steep hill and is the bottom 3 floors of a block of flats, the rooms are either cliff facing or ocean facing, the ocean side is also the garage parking side for the flats and so there can be a little noise from people coming and going, the rooms are very small and if you are thinking of 3 sharing, i would suggest you have 2 rooms. There is a tram which is only a few minutes walk away and a bus stop at the top of the hill. Alicante is a nice town, but there really isn't much to do unless you just want to sit on the beach. We hired a car and found some amazing places inland.
There is a tiny bit of beach to the left of the front entrance at the hotel, the rest is just rocks, there is also a very strong smell of cats wee, there are cats everywhere, there were some lovely beaches away from alicante in the opposite direction but I would recommend that you hire a car. All in all it was only a 6 day short stay for my husband and I, a rare few days without the kids, so it was fine for us, although I wouldn't go back.
If you like a little luxury and relaxation this is not the place to go because you have to plan everyday where to find the best beach or somewhere to eat etc. excellent for the budget travellers without kids
