We booked this hotel because it was advertised as a spa, we wanted a bit of a blowout for our last day of our weeks vacation.
After spending 3 hours trying to find the hotel amongst one of the largest housing developments in Spain I have EVER witnessed, the room we we're offered was below 4 star standards, infact we requested a different room and had to argue and prove to the head of house keeping what was wrong.........anyway.
The spa was actually quite expensive, for the limited times you could use it, e.g 15 minutes to 1.5 hours (no all day use)
The pool area was nice, with a jacuzzi, power shower and paddling area. Unfortunately you share your view with lots of flies (as you look out to the 'Laguna?!' all you see is 1/2 a building site and the back of a few restaurants and pubs).
I felt like everything that was promised/advertised fell short of expectations.
Once there you will feel trapped there as there is nothing else to do in the immediate walking distance.
A couple of nice things were the frogs that croak all night in the garden below the pool, and the food....although this did fall short again... a pink pepper steak ended up being a green pepper steak, a fruit mosaic for dessert was chunks of melon, pineapple and .... melon?!, blueberry cheesecake was cheesecake with a blackberry and a redberry.. that said it was still nice... prices were from €6-15 for starters, €15-25 for maun courses and €6 for desserts.
Room service/mini bar was pretty expensive compared to normal prices.
restaurant/pool bar dinks were €6 for Gin & Tonic and €3 for beer
This hotel was probably pretty good when it first opened, i guess it was also situated slightly differently to what has been built up around it now. I guess it depends what your looking for in a Spanish holiday/hotel... but this really didn't feel like Spain.
