This is a plesant 4* hotel that was fine for what I wanted in Benidorm.

I think the best thing about this hotel is it's location. It's right on the edge of old town, near to the new part of the town. This means your are right the pleaseant hustle and bustle and nightlife of the old town, while being close enough but also far enough away from the clubs and younger nightlife elsewhere.

The beach is literally a 3 minute walk, very close indeed. Both beaches in benidorm have great sand and are very well maintained.

Rooms are basic but adequate, use any spare store card etc to keep the air con going while you are out of your room in the evning. Shower and bath were fine and nice and clean. Some rooms are facing the inside run down court-yard but have the benefit of reduced nosie, other face the street with the accompanying noise.

Food is quite good, hot and tasty. The waiters are very attendtive and if you are going out for the day and have lunch included an excellant packed lunch will be prepared.

I would deffinatly return to this hotel, it's sensible ,clean, tidy and friendly - just what you need.

when i booked this hotel itwas number 6 in benidorm,,
,god knows how,,,
,id say it was a very average 3 star, dining room too small to cope,,staff were ok,, location was good,but very noisy from street. room was very basic and quite old fashioned and friends of ours had no balcony.
Id requested a double bed as it was our wedding anniversery and we got 2 singles pushed together.
overall a bit dissappointing for a hotel that was rated so highly when i booked it.
Would look elsewhere next time,

Having read recent reviews on this web site we decided to choose the 4* Avenida Hotel in Benidorm - how disappointed we were. This hotel was far from being a 4* and was more like an average 3*. While the public areas were well maintained the rooms were tired and could do with being updated - we moved rooms four times before we managed to find one that was remotely suitable. The cleanliness of the rooms also left something to be desired. The food was generally alright.
While some of the staff were helpful and friendly the bar staff were downright rude at times.

However, the worst thing about the Avenida was its position. It was situated in a mainly commercial area - the hotel itself was above shops and the views from the rooms were awful!
We would never return to the Avenida.

We have just returned from a 10 day stay from this hotel and in our opinion was not up to the 4star rating. Food was ok and hotel very clean but rooms were very basic pool not large enough for the size of the hotel and it was noisy at night.
The security in the hotel was appalling. I had my handbag stolen including all the contents out of the restaurent. and the restaurant manager wasn't very helpful, didn't even ring the police said I had to go myself. An hour later he still hadn't reported the theft to the hotel manageress. they were practically saying it was my own fault. They did however change the locks on our room ect.You do expect to keep your belonging close to hand at the bars etc but certainly not in the hotel restaurant (a 4star one at that) where you think you are safe! would never return!!
