Overall a really good 3 star hotel with no complaints from me or my friend who travelled with me.

Nice room, good food, modern clean hotel in an excellent position.

Regarding the last reviewers comments about noise I never once got disturbed at night and found the hotel very quiet. Also the only homeless people I saw were across the road outside the doors of the Indoor Market at night and was never hassled by them once.

Overall another good trip to Benidorm in a very good hotel.

Returned to Nereo hotel after 6 years and found a shabby, basic 2* hotel in need of a make over/refurbishment.
Staff were not really unfriendly just disinterested!!
Unable to help yourself from buffet...must be served by staff from behind counter.
Bathroom towels changed daily but although clean, some were worn so thin they had holes in them.
I had expected a bit more from this hotel as it was quite good several years ago but it felt neglected, with staff who couldn't care less about the customers. The bar staff were very slow at serving but very quick to stop serving and get you out at the end of the day.
I would say if you were on a tight budget it would be OK, otherwise stay away.

took a weeks break to HOTEL NEREO , hotel was very clean, rooms cleaned daily, food excellant choice ,,entertainment during the day was nowhere to be found . one pool table beside a table tennis table , evening shows were okay but the resident couple tried there best earlier each evening only to be told by "" THE BAR STAFF "" which type of music to play ,,,this was for the benefit of the newly influx of spanish guests,,,,,,,,nevermind the rest of us ,,,who had used the bar the rest of the week ,ANYWAY,, my main gripe, actually 2 of them,,,,firstly the LOCAL WINOES hang about on the steps of this hotel each day,,and if i can spot these people urinating in public ,, then so can the staff and the security staff who i only saw once in the full week i was there ..........one of the "" HOMELESS "" persons decided to sit among the paying guests during one of the shows,,,,,,,,during this time , a person selling flowers approached ""HER"" to ask whether she would like to buy one ....the answer she gave was to throw a chair at him ....my wife informed reception about this at the time ,,,only to be told that "" THEY HAD LET HER IN TO USE THE TOILET FACILITIES "".............I'M NO PRUDE,,,,,,,, but i think that as a paid guest in any hotel,,,,,,,,,,,then homeless people who by any other name are winoes,,,should not be allowed in........cameras ..mobile phones and ladies handbags are easy targets as is peoples own drink while up dancing...well my second gripeis not entirely the hotels fault ,,,but is partialy all of the local hotels faults,,,,,,,,bars across the way get out late ,, lots of drunken disorder ,,going into the nearby chicken and chips restaurant...happily singing "" E N G E R L A N D............ EVEN THOUGH they are not even playing in EURO 08... very strange.................. maybe the noise from these people would be EVEN LOUDER ,,,if their team were in it ????..this noise is around the throwing out times of 4 am...and lasts to about 6 am... surely local hoteliers should be complaining to the local police on their guests behalf,,,,,,,, or is it their "" OWN GUESTS "" who are responsible for at least some of this noise ????.........if so,, then ,,they should not be allowed back into the hotel to sleep off their hangovers while the rest of the paying guests have to "" TIP TOE "" by their rooms ,,in case we wake these baying louts,, only to be loudly told by these same people "" TO KEEP THE BLXXDY NOISE DOWN,,,,,,,OR ELSE ..."" anyone thinking of using this hotel while EURO 08 is on wants to wake up and smell the roses..........hope this helps some of you ...........maurice 9

just got back from the nero hotel benidorm very clean hotel food good maids came to clean everyday good location for clubs and pubs good chinese down the road will be going back
