Having been to Patagonia, I dream of the meat houses of Ushuaia. So when I saw the top rated restaurant on TA in Valencia (I traveled April 2012) was a restaurant promising me a Patagonian eating experience, I just had to book in.
Overall, my assessment is this is a replica put together by someone who has seen a youtube clip of a Patagonian steakhouse. It looks like one, it pretty much smells like one, but it's just not there in the taste. The quality of the meat was average, and not the excellent offering promised. The food was a little disappointing in taste, and also serving size (if you've been to Argentina you'll know what I mean!).
This was also a very expensive experience as well, so overall quite disappointing. Not bad but just not that good. The most memorable item for me was the three different salts they brought out, which included a 'charcoal salt' I had not experienced before. Shows how good the meat was when the salt is the best part!
