Stayed 3 days and very happy with the accommodation.
Great views, very clean and comfortable, all facilities including free internet, friendly and efficient management, free transport to/from town, excellent restaurant with very good prices.

Who is not ecstatic over the Il Nido probably deserves the malocchio (evil eye). The only down-side of our entire stay was that we didn't want to leave. In fact, we and several other guests asked third generation owner-proprietor Dino for a three or four day extension on their rooms.

The rooms are in the European style, functional but not expansive. (who wants to stay indoors in Sorrento, anyway?) Dino even provides several computers with free Wi-Fi connections.

Il Nido boasts the most spectacular views in Sorrento of Vesivius and the Bay of Naples. The hotel is situated among olive and lemon orchards on a hillside high over Sorrento, but Dino provides a free hourly van with driver to wisk you past the scenic hillside vineyards between downtown and his hotel.

There are no bad chefs in Sorrento and Dino and his family are certainly no exception. Delicioso! The dishes are well prepared from the freshest local ingredients. The desserts are indescribable. English is no problem at Il Nido.

As the Italians say, "Al contadini non far sapere quanto è buono il formaggio con le pere." (Don't let the peasants know how good the cheese with the pears is). Il Nido may be the best kept secret in all Sorrento.

Just arrived back home after a four day stay with Dino and the great people at Hotel Nido.

It was a wonderful experience from arrival to departure. Our family of five had two rooms that featured one of the most breathtaking views you'll ever experience.

The rooms were clean and just what we needed. The price was even better.

We ate at the restaurant on both our first and last nights there......and the food was excellent.....not to mention the view from balcony into the Bay of Naples.

Dino also scheduled a van to bring our family to the airport in Naples for our flight back home. The van was there waiting for our departure at 4:30am.

It was the perfect end to our 10 day stay in Italy which began in Siena.

There's no doubt when we return.....it will be with the folks at Hotel Nido.

We had a wonderful stay at Il Nido. We arrived in Sorrento after the shuttle was available and stupidly took a taxi ( to the tune of $50) up to the hotel. Dino and Gianni were so kind and helpful. We were having trouble with our cell phone. They first tried to fix it and then drove us back down to the city and got us to a cell phone place to get it taken care of. They could not do enough for us. The rooms were tasteful, air-conditioned (thankfully) and spotless. We also had dinner at the restaurant that night and it was wonderful. Very good and extremely reasonable. The view is spectacular both at night and during the day. Great breakfast provided in the morning as well.
