“Absolutely Perfect Hotel”

Having read all the reviews on here we decided to stay at this Hotel and we weren't disappointed. From the minute we arrived everything was perfect. We arrived at 10pm and although the restaurant was closed the concierge told us there was a cold meat salad and fruit waiting in the room. What a wonderful way to start the holiday. The room was stupendous. We had booked a side sea view but appear to have been upgraded to front sea view (although the trees were in the way a bit). A fantastic view of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius all the same. We were on the third floor - the road outside was a minor road and although there was a bit of traffic at night it didn't bother us at all. The room and bathroom was kept spotlessly clean and was immaculately decorated - with sorrentine tiles on the floor, incredibly comfortable beds and a comfortable pillow - which is something you don't often find in Italy. We had a pretty little balcony with a couple of chairs and a table, although the nights were a little too cool this early in the year to sit outside in the evenings. The restaurant - well what can I say that hasn't been said before - Enzo and Carmine were charm personified - all the waiting staff were so helpful and they all seemed to be genuinely happy in their work. The food was superb - we were on half board and each evening had a choice of about 4 starters, 4-5 main courses, salad buffet and dessert trolley. One evening a week they have a grand buffet - and grand it is too - everything under the sun and more! Breakfast was also brilliant - lots of cold meats, cheese, fruit, cereals, et al and also a toaster, bread and cooked breakfast - particularly good was that the eggs were cooked to order. There's a swimming pool on the rooftop and also one downstairs, the garden is also very pretty and probably a nice cool place in the height of summer. I can't praise this hotel and staff enough and have already talked two other couples into going there this year.

Super hotel accomodation.
Excellent food and service from Enzo and his team. They create a nice atmoshere in the dining room and make every meal a special one. five star service. We woul recommend our friends and family to the Hotel de La Ville and come back ourself too.

We have just returned from having one week in sorrento staying at the Hotel Del La Ville, The hotel is situated well within walking reach to everything, This hotel is really well managed and the food is amazing, Enzo makes everyone feel very welcome all of the staff here really go out of their way to ensure you have a fab holiday. We had a great room full sea view which was not expected as we only booked a part sea view! emailed the hotel prior to staying and we was upgraded for free ! Room 529! , Can recommend you go to the welcome meeting if you have booked a package holiday however after speaking to other people staying at the hotel I would recommend you do not take their excursions complete rip off ! you can do these tours easily for less than half the price by using their bus service or the trains which are both good, If I was to moan about anything it would be your bill at the end of your stay would recommend you check this as us and other visitors to this hotel was over charged on the bar bill, you cannot use cash in the hotel you order and give your room number we ended up being over charged by 35 Euros and others upto 60 Euros, Other than that we had a perfect holiday and would recommend this hotel to others .

we stayed here for 7 days and they all were marvellous.
the room was clean and lovely and the view was superb.
the food was varied and great. the staff were very friendly and could not have been more helpful. a great hotel for all ages and would recomend it to anyone.

From the moment we arrived everything was perfect! Our flight had been delayed so we booked in and went straight in for dinner. This is usually our biggest problem as we are all vegetarian - no probelms here. Enzo explained that we could look through the menus each morning and order ready for that evening which was such a relief for us. The room was very comfortable and clean with maid service every day. All the hotal staff were very frindlt. We loved the hotal and loved Sorrento!
