As the title says - that is all...
Rooms - We stayed at the Admiral for 10 nights and had a large room with a great view, but as someone else stated, the rooms are noisy, no carpets to drown out general noise - not even in the corridors so everything echos, oh and the bedroom doors, boy do they slam, whenever anyone shuts their doors in a surrounding room our windows shook! Rooms could also do with some colour....
Staff - Basically repeating what everyone else seems to have said - they have a rude and bored attitude - apart from the breakfast staff and cleaners. Whenever we went to the bar and the older barman was serving, he never greeted us, the only word we got 'yes' and a 'sign this' as he thrust a receipt at us... the younger barman was more polite.
Food - We only ever had breakfast there and that was enough and what is with the cheap plastic white cups???
But the hotel has great views and is in a great location, the surrounding restaurants are great - they have friendly smiley chatty staff!!!

We particulaly enjoyed the situation of the Admiral, it was an easy walk into town. The real disappointment about the hotel was the staff which we found surly and indifferent especially the barman Santos, he was positively rude. The food at breakfast was poor to average. The evening menu was varied although the buffet lacked organisation which resulted in the people who got food at the end of the line missed out. The hotel does give the impression that all rooms that are classed as seaview overlook the marina they don't! There seemed to be one rule for one and not another. We complained having booked a seaview room that our outlook was directlly sideways with a cliff face facing us. We were told that we had a defined seaview room and could not be moved as the hotel was full and yet a couple from Japan in the room next to us also complained but rather more verbally than us and were moved immediately to one of the rooms overlooking the bay with a sunterrace. It seems that if you stayed for 11 or 14 days you got a side or sea view but those staying for 7 days got a restricted view. The room was very clean but somewhat noisy. The trips organised by the rep were good but it was easy to find you own way to all the tourist attractions at a considerable saving.

“Wonderful Location”

Hotel Admiral

Have just spent a week at the Hotel Admiral, and I agree it's location is wonderful. It's clean, comfortable, has good food and is all you would expect from a 3* hotel. My only complaint would be that, the staff are quite surly. The receptionists are bored by your requests, the barman, positively rude. The exceptions to this were the Maitre D and one friendly waiter whose name I think was Raphael. Sadly it spoiled our stay at the Admiral.

My wife, daughter and myself are just back from a weekend break to the Hotel Admiral. As we arrived late on Saturday night, we'd pre booked a private transfer. We were somewhat taken aback when it took 1 3/4 hours to get to the hotel (their is no such thing as a quick transfer ,due to roads being very busy). When we arrived at the hotel we were given a large room which was ideal for 3 people. The bedroom and bathroom were very tidy and airy and the bedroom also had plenty of storage space. The following morning when we got up and opened the shutters we were met with the most stunning view of the Bay of Naples. The balcony was nearly as large as the bedroom also.
The hotel is in a great location, right on the seafront and at sea level. The walk up to main town Sorrento is about 10 minutes, but if you want, you can get a bus from just along from the hotel. If booking a taxi, get a quote on your fair, as prices vary a lot.
The breakfast lounge was more than adequate with very helpful waiters on hand to see you to your table. The hotel also has a very nice pool and deck chair area.
I'd like to say a big thankyou also to the backroom staff at Giglio hotels (Daniela in particular) for going to the trouble of organising a ticket for me for the big football game in Naples. She was also at hand to help organise some beauty treatments for my wife and daughter.
As our trip was very short, we never really got that much of a chance to see more of the hotel and area. I would recommend this hotel, and I'm sure we will return in the future to give it the time it deserves. A big thank you goes out to the staff also.

“My Sorrento”

Hotel Admiral

Having stayed her last year and had such a wonderful holiday, I just had to return. The room was just what I had asked for and the trip to Amalfi was incredible. The tour guide was lovely and gave us a lovely day out. We booked a trip to Ischia but the transfer bus didnt arrive so it meant we missed that trip. But am planning to get there at some time soon. The staff are lovely and very friendly people. The Gala evening and Buffet night are very enjoyable, especially the friendly atmosphere. I like the walk up to the town, it leaves the Admiral in a quiet situation, and gives the best of both worlds. May be back again.
