If you are thinking of visiting Sorrento then look no further for booking your hotel than the Girosole. Its comfortable, reasonably priced and from the moment you walk through the doors to the time that you leave, you are looked after as if you are one of the family. The rooms are quite spacious clean and serviced every day,and when you book be sure to ask for a room with a view over the Bay of Naples, you won't be dissapointed! It has a lovely pool and all around are the lemon and orange groves and the unbeleivably large grapefruits. The staff are marvelous, ask any question of them and they will strive to answer and help you with a smile. Don't hesitate, book now !! you won't regret it.

We had a brief stay in Sorrento and stayed at the Hotel Girasole on the recommendation of a friend.
We found it a very nice place to stay. The staff was pleasant and the rooms were comfortable. The pool and the area around it were very relaxing and quiet.
It is a 10 minute walk from the town center on a busy road with a narrow sidewalk and sometimes no sidewalk at all.
However, the hotel is quiet and the views from the rooms on the back of the hotel are beautiful.
They have a nice breakfast buffet as well.

Drawbacks: pool closes at 7pm, so no late night swim.
No dinner service.
But, that's minor.
We enjoyed our stay very much and wished we'd had more time to just relax by the pool during the day.
Ah, next time.

Spent 4 nights as part of a longer summer holiday. Staff were lovely, very helpful, room and all the facilities were clean, pool was well kept with a nice mix of families, couples and groups of friends relaxing by it. Plenty of sun to be had!

Great location, with all the connections to Naples and the Amalfi coast - much easier than staying in Amalfi or Positana. Can't recommend it enough.

stayed at the girasole in july when our son got married in sorrento. we booked through an agent on the internet but dealt directly with the hotel when we needed to downsize our room as our daughter had to cancel her trip.this was not a problem, they even gave us a choice of room. we opted for a garden room which we thought would be quieter as the hotel is on a busy main road.although i can,t say i found it particularly noisy at night.

the room was nice and clean, linen changed daily. excellent air conditioning and the window shutters keep the light out in the morning! although the brochures say there is a hairdryer in the room, ladies i would reccommend taking your own as the ones in the rooms are a bit like a hoover nozzle!! not very good for styling.

the pool was really nice and it didn,t seem to get too busy, considering the time of year. the snack bar was handy .

the hotel is about a 25 minute walk from the main piazza in sorrento. although we had our car with us, we found it easier to walk as the roads are on a one-way system and parking is a bit limited in the main areas. besides, it helps to burn up afew calories after all that fabulous pasta and pizza!!

all in all, the girasole is a great little family run hotel. the staff are really friendly and helpful. nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. they even provided a room at short notice for our son on the night before his wedding.
