We stayed here for two nights and wished it were twenty! what a wonderful find! The staff were so helpful and friendly and the complimentary breakfast was great! We had a fantstic room, try and get number 6 if its available, it has a brilliant view out over the ocean. Really enjoyed Sorrento, its a lovely relaxing place. We will be back to both Sorrento and Porto Salvo! Thank you!

We stayed here for six nights end of march beginning of april.Our room had a fantastic sea view and both it and the separate bathroom could not have been cleaner.The breakfast was very good with as much bread ,toast,cereals,ham,cheese,yoghurt,fruit,juices,tea,coffee,chocolate and preserves as you would care to eat. The hotel is on the top floor with Monks living below keeping a garden with fruit vegetables and chickens. Guests also have use of a garden area with chairs and tables.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. On the downside there were two negative points -its a good 15 min walk to the San Agnello station, and at least 25-30 mins to Sorrento centre. Also the central heating did not seem to be working so at times we were very cold at night .

Domus Porto Salvo was a great place for us to stay while we were in Sorrento. It was so reasonably priced and the quality was very very good. We were able to save some money by staying here and then we splurged with other things -- but these accommodations were really great! Our room was modest, but lovely, with sea views. Our bathroom was outside our room but it was for our exclusive use and we knew that before we booked the room, so we were very happy. The breakfast was excellent and the staff was great -- very helpful and friendly. This was a great base for exploring the Amalfi Coast. We were able to take the train to Pompeii and Naples and drive all over the peninsula and on to Paestum from our location. We walked into Sorrento and enjoyed the walk very much. It was easy to get to Capri from here. Parking was free. You really couldn't ask for much more than what we received from Domus Porto Salvo. HIghly recommended for budget accommodations in an expensive part of the world!

I stayed for 1 week at Domus Porto Salvo in Sorrento. The location is great...just 1/2 mile from the train station and 1 mile from the center of Sorrento by foot. There is a bus line into town just 1 block away but the walk is lovely. It is the perfect spot for day trips to Pompeii, Ercolan, Positano and the Amalfi Coast. It was so easy and convenient.
My room was very comfortable with old world charm. I opted for a room without toilet but never saw anyone else use the bathroom during the entire week there as some rooms are ensuite. The breakfast was great with fresh fruit and baked goods as well as cereal and juice, fresh bread and deli meats/cheese. The staff is very helpful and kind. I stayed in the off season and got extra special treatment, like a ride to the store for ice cream by one of the hotel owners (as they didn't get their supply yet) and a ride to the ferry on the day I left from the English speaking Mariana who was beautiful inside and out. I felt very pampered and it was the nicest feeling. I would highly recommend it.
