“Best hotel ever!”

Out of all the hotels we stayed in, this one was the best during my whole trip. The room we had was large for a double room. The bathroom was so nice, with a speaker so you can listen to the TV from the bedroom! The furnishings were all modern and it was at a four star level if in the US. The breakfast was the best i had, better than another hotel that I spent about 300 euros more for. Such good value and good location -only 2 minutes walking to the pompeii ruins, and close to the train station and piazza. Breakfast was a buffet of a warm dish, and yogurt, and fresh fruit, and warm croissants, all under some lemon trees. Free internet service and homemade limoncello in the lobby too! We loved this hotel!!!!

“Average But 3 Star”

Booked this on [----------], which indicates that this is a 4 star hotel...and it is not. There are 3 stars on the hotel sign, as indicated by the previous post. I felt that the staff was very accomodating and courteous. Two computers with free internet access in the lobby. The room was a bit cramped but it was fine for one night. I did have issue with the bathroom, however, as the shower did not drain (had to turn the water off, let it drain and then continue) and the electrical outlet for the hair dryer was pushed into the wall and therefore, did not work. The best part was breakfast on the back terrace. Good service, wonderful warm croissants and great coffee. Was very relaxing. Very short walk to the entrance of the ruins. Easy walk to numerous restaurants and eateries.

“Didn't live up to my expectations”

Having used Trip Advisor religiously I thought I couldn't go wrong. Unfortunately I now don't recognise the comments made by previous people, having returned from a visit there. The hotel actually advertises itself ( on its own promotional material and entrance) as a 3 star, so that really should be the reality check here. It's OK, but not that great.

OK, so 90 Euros is a fair price in this area, but the room was very cramped, with old dated decor, and a shabby dirty bathroom. Bed uncomfortable, noisy aircon, and don't get me going on the noise in the hotel (paper thin walls and a constant BANGING of doors in the morning.) I think we were in one of the 'un modernised' rooms, but the bottom line is they shouldn't be selling shabby rooms, if they advertise themselves as modern and clean. How many rooms are shabby? It's given me a negative impression.

There are some redeeming features: close to the back entrance of the Pompeii ruins (only 200m), close to the Sancturio Curcumvesuvius station (nb: this isn't on the Naples - Sorrento line), and the national rail line.
Room had a balcony overlooking the mountains. Breakfast adequate, and a lovely little garden at the back.
Staff were OK, but isn't that their job?! Nothing special.

I am used to staying in all kinds of accommodation, but this didn't live up to the reputation and positioning at Tripadvisor.
For a 3 star, it's adequate for a short stay.

My family stayed here for three days during our Italian trip. It was by far our favorite place. The rooms were very nice and the bathrooms were large and very clean and modern. The breakfast buffet is amazing. Many tasty and beautiful cakes and tidbits and wonderful fresh croussiants, the chocolate ones were exceptional. There is a small garden in the back with wonderful lemon trees growing. They were blooming when we were there and I have never smelled anything more wonderful. I would ask for a room on the back where you can enjoy the garden from your balcony. The service was very good and the staff was polite and gracious. We would love to visit them again and will if we are lucky enough to return to Italy. Zi Caterina down the street had some of the best food and wine we had in Italy. It is across the street from the hotel. We thought the beds were very comfortable.
