As Americans, my partner and I loved the Hangar. The guy at the front desk as you enter (I think his name is John- sorry if that's not right) is the kindest, sweetest, loving guy. His mom lives in Houston, where we live, and we related on this point. The staff, in general all over the bar, are kind, fun, courteous, respectful, and most helpful. The people there are nice, open, and attractive. We met up with other Texans while there and were most grateful for their commeraderie- new friends. It is always great to go to this place, and they even pointed us, one night, to the Gay Village, in August, which is magnificent, but quite far out. We wanted to go back to the Hangar that night, but they close at 2. This is a "MUST" visit for every gay male visiting Rome. You can get your Arci card there for 3 Euro, and they will inform you about any other cool bars, happenings. This is the check in place, and the drinks were well valued, especially in Europe.
