The is a wonderful little Roman restaurant in the heart of the hectic tourist area near the Pantheon. While walking by the restaurant I noticed two of my favorite food items outside on display. Artichokes, and zucchini flowers. The restaurant looked quaint and inviting. I was actually intending on having lunch at a different restaurant, but returned to Pietro al Pantheon because of the outside display, Roman menu, and appeal of the restaurant. It did not disappoint. Other restaurants in the area had staff literally dragging tourists in to their restaurants. Most were overly aggressive, and I would not eat at any of them regardless of how hungry I was. Pietro al Pantheon was just the opposite. Quiet, calm, and a nice sanctuary from the chaos outside. Most of the customers were locals, which is always a good sign. The food and service were excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.
