We stayed at the Empire Palace after taking a cruise and found it to be within walking distance or a short taxi ride to all of what Rome has to offer. The hotel is located on a side street with many restaurants and cafe's nearby. We found the staff to be friendly and most helpful with dealing with all of our concerns.English is understood which made it much easier to get and recieve information. The buffet breakfast was great. The conceirge was very helpful with planned trips, restaurants, self guided tours or just about anything that you may need to no about Rome. Our room was a corner accomodation had plenty of space.I would reccomend it.The rooms were clean with a very old look to it.High ceilings, casement windows. We had a very nice stay and would go back there again.
