The Four Points Bolzano is a good hotel. It's nicely decorated and very clean. It's quite minimalist in style with terrific beds - firm! The bar is terrific: a good drinks menu with really nice complimentary canapes (tiny pizzas, risotto balls, etc), and it was comfortably full on the Thursday night we were there. The people of Bolzano are obviously keen on this hotel - most bar patrons seemed to be locals.

Breakfast is quite adequate and included in the rate. There is a pool - quite an unusual facility in European hotels, and although small, it is as good as it looks on the website. There is also undercover parking at a reasonable rate.

It is out of town. It just depends whether you like modern or traditional. Being people who like clean, modern lines and who usually travel by car, it was great. If you want to be within walking distance of the centre, then it isn't for you. There are a number of parking stations in the centre, and we had no trouble parking. The hotel is situated in a commercial area, but certainly when we stayed it was not noisy at all.

Bolzano is a gorgeous town. We went to see the Iceman at the Archaeology Museum and only planned an overnight stay, but we could have stayed longer. It is very picturesque, and the Vogele restaurant on Goethestrasse has great food and a sense of history.

This is one of those hotels where the standard feels more expensive than it is. If you don't mind being a ten minute drive from the centre, grab it.

This has got to be the best hotel I have ever stayed in. It was pure luxury from the bedrooms to the restaurant. The staffs were exceptional by any standard. Their friendliness and hospitality unbelievable. Nothing was too much bother for any of them and they made the children feel special. The Health Spa on the roof was immaculate with unbelievable views of the Alps day or night. The buffet breakfast was fantastic often extending into a brunch.
It is more a businessman’s hotel than a family hotel and is located in Bolzano sud a fare distance from the historic centre of Bolzano ( 45 minutes walk). The area is a commercial area (mostly car dealerships from what I saw) but has a wonderful SPAR hypermarket just at the end of the road including the poshest McDonalds ever - only the Italians could make McDonalds this posh! That was obviously a big hit with the kids and me as you can have beer with your burger.
Yes I would go back again especially in low season as it was unbelievable value for our three night stay. Thank you to everybody at the Four Points who made our stay such a great one.

I booked this hotel for my family because the description said close to the city center with a free shuttle to the property. Neither was true. The hotel was in the middle of any industrial park with construction going on 24 hours. There was no free hotel shuttle and the town was a 20 euro ride by taxi one way. I showed the manager a write up about the transportation and she said only that it was a mistake. I'll say..... there are some lovely hotels in the historic centre, do your best to avoid this one, unless you have lots of time for the commute. Other than the location, the hotel was just so-so. The distance out of town was the biggest drawback. That and the noise.

This hotel was just built in the fall of 2003. You can still smell the newness in the halls. Everything in this hotel is state of the art. The rooms are big and extremely clean. The bathroom is also quite large (especially for a European hotel!) and has some of the coolest fixtures I have ever seen. The beds are quite comfortable and there are 2 down comforters on the king size beds. So if there are 2 of you each person gets there own comforter. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
The hotel is located outside the city center so I don't know if it would be conducive to people traveling just for pleasure. But there is a bus stop a block away that takes you right into the center of town.
We were there attending a business conference so it was perfect for us.
We were able to attend our meetings at the adjacent conference center and then take the bus into town to see all the sights. It was one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at the low room rate I paid made the stay even more enjoyable.
