Good if you are only after a nice, quiet place to stay in Padova. The hotel seems to be remotely managed by the owner, who lives away. The hotel/owner can only be
reached via the owner's cell phone number. There is no front desk -- the owner
meets you in front of a door.
There is no phone in the room and the wi-fi signal is extremely weak throughout the hotel (about 6 rooms on 3 floors). So communication is quite hard and you will be unreachable unless you have a cell phone that works in Italy.
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- Inside the Diamantino you will find six guestrooms that are really spacious and comfortable. The building where the hotel works is from the 17th century, and even though it was completely restructured in 2008, you should bear in mind that the original conditions had to be preserved. The Piazza dei Signori is the main historical area in Padua. Every chamber has a bathroom with shower, TV, AC, minibar and a double bed. As for the decor, combinations like blue and gold and burgundy and white were used for bedspreads and curtains. ... more less
