We always like to get away from the very touristy areas when we travel, so we always ask people we meet for recommendations. We were looking for another restaurant when we stumbled upon this one. It was a hot night, and while we usually prefer to eat outside, we took refuge in the air conditioning. What a great choice!
The staff was very, very friendly. We started with mussels and the fried vegetables, which were both superb. My daughters had the fresh fish with zucchini and mint (which they are still talking about). The rest of us had different fresh pasta dishes. We finished the meal with fresh gelato served in the hollowed out fruit (lemon gelato in a lemon half). The server made a great recommendation for a dessert wine for those of us who don't usually like dessert wines.
We would highly recommend this restaurant, if you are looking for something a little more special than what you see everywhere else. The walk isn't far from the Rialto bridge...and well worth it!
