Apparently you can only check-in at between 10 am and 4 pm. If you arrive after this time then you have to go to the sister hotel to check-in. This was meant to be around 50 metres but it was more like 350 to 400 metres, which is quite a struggle when you have all your luggage and we are both retired. Eventually I made it to the check-in where you have to produce your passport and pay your money up front, before even seeing your room. I think it was the owners son but when I requested seeing the room before paying he replied, 'This is not possible, we have your card details, we will take your money anyway'. He was just rude, obnoxious and unhelpful.
After having no alternative but to pay up front we found that there was 40 steps up to the door of the hotel and then a further 25 up to the room. This would've proved very difficult at our age having it not been for a young couple staying there carrying our bags up for us. Someone has already mentioned on here about 'where is the elevator and mentioning steps in reviews which is certainly a most valid point I think, especially for older ages.
The room was small and if one of us wanted to walk around the room then the other would have to move to make space. You had about 18 inches between wall and bed. However the room was clean. I would not recommend this hotel and certainly wouldn't stay here again and saw another traveller being spoken to quite rudely by the owners son (I believe it to be the owners son but I'm not 100% sure). It's also worth noting that there is no staff at the hotel so should you have a problem you've got to go to the other hotel.
Choose another hotel where they value their customers.
