If you're looking for a nice homey place to stay in Florence, look no further. I stayed here for 3 nights but wish I could have stayed longer. The host of this B&B is Elena, who made our stay there so wonderful. Before we arrived, she helped us to make reservations for the Uffizi and the Accademia. As our Uffizi reservation was at 9 am, she woke up earlier and prepared breakfast for us before the usual time so that we would be able to make it to the reservation with time to spare. She also made some very good recommendations for restaurants which were within walking distance from the B&B. If you like pizza, I recommend Antica Porta which is around a 20 min walk away (or you can take the bus). Breakfast was also delicious - her croissants are to die for! Our room were very clean, charming, and homey, and had a great view of her well-kept garden.
The B&B is not located in the city centre, but it's around a 10 min bus ride from the train station. To get there, you'll need to take bus 11 (or bus 37 on weekends or holidays) from the train station. Get off at Via Del Gelsomino 3 (the Florence buses announce the next stop). If you have luggage, it's probably best to take a taxi, just note the taxis will charge for each piece luggage. Keep in mind though that if you have a lot of luggage you'll have to haul it up a few flights of stairs once you get there. The bus stop going to the town centre is a few minutes walk from the B&B so it's also very convenient.
