My partner booked this four day break as a surprise on arrival at the airport we hadn't booked any transfers we waited outside for nearly an hour but it was very busy and there were no cabs, eventually we hopped on a bus which took us close to the hotel.
The hotel itself was lovely, not 5 star but very comfortable and clean.The hotels biggest letdown is its location.Myself and my husband are keen walkers but it was quite a trek to the leaning tower or any shops or restaurants.I can't comment on the hotels own restaurant as i never ate there, however it is apparently michelin starred so it must be doing something right!
The staff seemed freindly and approachable and helped us plan our day trips.All in all i had a fantastic time in italy and cannot wait to return,Florence in paticular blew me away i absoloutley loved it.Would definatley return to pisa not too sure about the Hotel Republica Marina/

This is a standard enough hotel when just staying over the night to use the airport but one of the reasons we booked it was because we were promised a complimentary transfer to the airport. However the next morning when asking for our transfer we were told the driver wasn't here and could show up any time before 12pm. We were therefore left with them just calling us a normal taxi at our own expense.
Apart from that is ok but nothing really more than a bed to sleep in.

Very nice hotel. All new, clean, amazing food, lovely staff, free internet access and free parking. Loved it! The only disadvantage is the location... but if you have a car or like long walks (45min to the Tower) you can easily reach the centre of Pisa.

Nice clean hotel typical business style so a bit impersonal. We booked this hotel as it was a good price, we could park the car and walk into Pisa. This we did, but it was quite a trek as it was very hot and alot of the walk is along a busy main road. The room was your usual business style , nice and clean plenty of towels, toiletries etc but lacked character. The T.V advertised satelite but the only English speaking channel was CNN news. The buffet breakfast was fine and offered all the usual items together with scrambled eggs and bacon. The restaurant in the evening seemd to be a bit expensive but we had read about a trattoria across the road from another review. We walked there and was pleasently surprised as we were shown through the restaurant and into a small garden area where we ate al frescoe, and very nice it was too. This hotel is very near the airport, only 10 minutes. We stayed there on our first night of our holiday so we could do Pisa and on our last night so that we could be near the airport. This is a hotel to use for overnight stays rather than for holidays.
