I stayed at the Villa Argentieri for 2 nights and was completely satisfied. The rooms were meticulously clean and very comfortable. The location is excellent, near the train station and the beach. The top floor of the hotel is a very nice sun deck for enjoying a glass of wine and gazing at the sea.

The staff is incredibly helpful and can help with any request you may have. They definitely have a "go the extra mile" attitude. The breakfast was very good as well.

I will stay here the next time I go to Cinque Terre. As beautiful as the Cinque Terre is, I hope that is soon.

Unfortunately/fortunately we did not get to stay at this hotel as with only 4 days to go they e-mailed to say our confirmed booking of 2 weeks earlier was now cancelled. After a reply thanking them for the late notice they then decided they could possibly find us alternative accommodation (would you trust them?). The hotel had also forgotten to inform the booking agents of the cancellation (leaving us with a possible bill for not giving 10 days notice). If you intend staying here, good luck as you may get later notice than ourselves!

We planned our honeymoon 6 months in advance and booked this hotel in Pisa through their website - confirming everything via both email and over the phone. We have also confirmed our booking via phone again around 1 month prior to arrival, advising the hotel of our late evening arrival - we were travelling by train from Milan. Staying in a small family-run place with a local flavour and a swimming pool were essential and important for us, we wanted our honeymoon to be special. To our huge disappointment, when we called the hotel from the train station upon arrival in Pisa to get the instruction on how to find them, they told us that for some reason they didn't have our booking in their records and the hotel was fully occupied for that night!!!!! How difficult can it be to keep track of booking of 10 guestrooms you have!!!!???? Still, we got the taxi and came to the hotel for the explanation and solution - we needed a place to stay overnight. We showed them email print-out which confirmed our booking, they did apologise and start to search for an alternative venue. To my knowledge, should such screw-ups happen, the hotel MUST find an equal OR upgraded alternative (and cover the cost difference). This hotel went with the first option they found, offering us to stay in hotel Duomo - which as turned out later had no swimming pool and was much bigger with about 80 rooms in total and dozens of people in the dinning hall for breakfast, so we didn't get the "cosy local flavour" we were looking for. We dreamed of having a morning swim in the pool with in-room breakfast and a garden view, instead, the room we had in Duomo reminded me of a summer camp-side I experienced in my school years. More than that, later we found out that their room ratings were EUR160 and we were forced to pay EUR180 as this was our booking with Argentieri. I want to warn all travellers who plan to stay in Argentieri - avoid this hotel if you don't want your special holiday to be ruined. If you still book and plan to stay with them, you probably need to call them on daily basis weeks before your arrival to ensure they have your booking. I would definitely suggest staying in other hotels with greater sense of responsibility and customer-care. I can't say our honeymoon was ruined because of this experience with them, but our stay in Pisa definitely was.

We wanted a central hotel for just two nights last week. We could not book directly with the hotel so booked through a hotel website, big mistake. We were promised, for 180 Euros per night a room, including breakfast, with power shower, whirlpool bath, CD player and DVD player. We only got the power shower. The room was quite small and the TV would not work via the remote, nor could we receive Sky TV. The bathroom freebies were the old fashioined sachets, quite inaedquate. The towels were very good, as were the bathrobes, althoug a bit tight for the fuller figure. Our room was on the ground floor, right by the pool. I pointed out the description from the website and to be fair was offered another room, but as it was only for 2 nights we decided to put up with it, with a 20 Euro reduction for the inconvenience.
The breakfast was excellent, the staff very friendly and very good.
The location also very good, just about 10 minutes stroll from the main attractions and good restaurants. For a visit to Lucca, the local station is only a 10 minute walk, which is only a 20 minute trip to Lucca, well worth a visit. The hotel is about 10 to 15 minutes by taxi from the airport, around 11 Euros, depending on traffic. Mosquitoe's were a menace, especially at the hotel, inside and out. The mosquitoe machine in the room was inadequate, I was eaten alive. My advice is that if you are contemplating a stay here, make sure what room you can expect to be staying in by phoning the hotel first. The restaurant recommendations for both Lucca and Pisa were spot on, really good.
